I see a lot of Enroth bashing but with that defensive display Miller gives up 5 goals tonight too. - Pierceme69
No way, the Faulk goal and the 1st Staal one were horribly played by Enroth |

0-9-3 enough said. He's been bad since last December. In his defense, this is what most people would have called an "off Night" for Miller. It's what happens when you let teams walk right in on your goalie. I have to say though if Miller is in net it most likely is 3-3 and in OT |

The D made bad plays, along with Hodgson and Pommer on 2 of the goals but Enroth barely put up a fight, he backed right into the crease and let Staal school him, that doesn't happen with Miller |

Ruff's mentality is ridiculous. By the way, Flyers sign Knuble. Were too good for him, wouldn't want to take ice time from Ellis or Scott. And my god where has Folignor been?? |

Not to state the obvious, but what is with all the faceoff losses? Three games, sub 50% winning percentage... just awful.
And who is in charge of designing this so-called "power play?" Absolutely brutal. Seems like every pass back to the point is either intercepted, bounces over the defenseman's stick, or there's no one home. I guess we better lock up Lindy for the next 10 years, seeing as we just re-upped Mr Peepers.
Just crap. - Da_Cashman

Did Myers look like absolute garbage tonight or was it just me? You have to be happy with the way the top line is playing in the offensive zone but in the D zone they have been horrible!! Look at the bad give aways Hodgson and Pomminville had that lead to goals. Bad night for Enroth but he never seems to make the saves needed when they D fails him. Hopefully tomorrow will be different. |

Compared to Leo, Sulzer, Sekera he was pretty good. It was a BS call on the penalty behind the net and he actually made a few nice plays defensivly. Leo and Sekera I thought were brutal |

We need Leino to be healthy.... Also we gotta give TJ and maybe even Weber a shot at D. The D has looked like crap in the first 3 games. Miller saved are ass in game 2 and without him you see how weak we can be on D.
Also if we lose tomorrow I would suggest changing up that 82-63-21 line.... Maybe get Ott and Grigs time to play with players that can actually create some sort of offense... Sorry Kaleta/Hecht/Gerbe aren't gonna do it offensively |

I actually think the forwards were the issue when it came to defense tonight. As stupid as that sounds.
Cody was atrocious in his own end and Pommer caused the odd man rush that lead to the short handed goal.
They were on the ice for the majority of the goals against. It happens. It's one game. I'm not panicking. 9 times out of 10 Pommer makes the right play. He got caught making a bad one tonight and they made him pay for it.
It was a poor performance from the front right through the back. |

I liked the one shift I saw of 21-25-82. - Pierceme69
Yes, that was the most offensively alive that I've seen Stafford and Foligno this season. It was also Grigo's best shift yet. I think Ruff should make this a line for tomorrow. I like Ennis a lot but that line hasn't been producing and these three came very close for the less than a minute they were together. |

Completely agree. Hodgson played an atrocious 'two way' game. Quotes because he didn't play one. And the rest of our forwards seemed to ignore the defensive zone, just careless plays. The defensive looked fine imo. Enroth missed a couple (that dreaded five hole of his) but doesn't deserve too much blame |

Unfortunately, at least 2 of those goals would have been saves by Miller just because of the difference in size. The one that got by his foot and the post, and the first Skinner goal. If Miller's in, his pads go post to post and that Skinner shot hits Miller in the shoulder.
I like Enroth, but these are the realities we need to face about his size. Those would have been 2 easy saves for Miller that we wouldn't have thought anything about. |

I hate to say it, but that's just false. Miller's glove hand leaves a lot to be desired. The goals that Miller DOES stop however, are the five hole goals. Staal's breakaway goal was a joke. Enroth's five hold was wide open and his stick was off the ice. And the slapper that went through there is just inexcusable. |

See, I agree with the 2 goals, but not those ones. I see what you mean about the post to post one, that ones arguable. I think the ones that Miller stops are the five hole shots. Enroth has a porous five hole and teams around the league know it if you watch shootout videos against him. |
