Nobody wants to give vitale any credit. He goes all out every shift and isn't afraid to drive the net or hit. That's exactly what that line needs

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Vitale in that spot.

Could you imagine the chaos if we lose TWO games this year!

If they lose 2 in a row Shero is likely to try and trade you, albeit for donuts and a bucket of fried chicken. But something has to play on Malkin's wing.

At that point we might as well fire Shero and Bylsma and trade Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Letang and Fleury. There are obvious problems with the management and the core of this team. I cannot believe that this team didn't go 48-0.

Tangradi did not play well, but its hard to be mad at a guy who played 4 minutes 30 seconds. Despres didnt even break the 9 minute mark.

I agree. It must be a problem in the dressing room. Crosby for Kulemin.

news from the morning practice and an answer to the poll question, perhaps....

If they want to keep that third line together as indicated, the next logical choice is Dustin Jeffrey. He, at least, has some offensive instinct and decent speed.
- akane13

Agreed. I voted for "other" as there was no slot for Jeffery.

I like Vitale a whole bunch.

I am still on the fence with Tangradi. I am not one to jump off the ship so soon.

3rd line role and mins isnt helping his game.. I thought he was suppose to be an offensive d-man... dont you want them on the 1st or second line? wouldnt a combo of letang/nisk, orpik/depsres, martin/engels a better set up? and why are we rolling 8 D up? i think they should move lovejoy for a 4th pick like letestu and bring up reese.. im not saying reese is a huge increase over lovejoy but lovejoy needs a shot else where..

Tangradi has done nothing to change my preconceived notions about him as an NHL player to this point.

They are bringing him along slowly, which is ok. Letang was a 3rd pairing dman his 1st year as well. But its better to let him get some more minutes in the regular season than the post-season.

I'm thinking that it has to be for guys who are great in the dressing room. Crosby for Manny Malholtra, Malkin for Horcoff, Neal for Ethan Moreau, Letang for Jason Strudwick and Fleury for Jamie McLennan. For a GM I think Brian Burke is the way too go and Tom Renney as a coach.

Right now he is no better than a 3rd (at best) or 4th liner. Unfortunately for him, there are even guys ahead of him on the depth chart at that position. Makes you wonder how much value he has on the trade market (beyond not much) and if it is just worth seeing if he clears waivers at some point.

I'd like to see Jefferey give it a go. I really want sutter/TK/Cooke to stay together. That line and the 4th have been nothing but energy and I love it. A player is like for the pens to try and grab is Clowe. He would be similar to what Kunitz does with Crosby
