....Keep in mind than Van/Pommer & Miller (and Ott) are all UFA's at the end of next year. Our third line in 2014/15 probably won't be our 3rd line any more. There will probably be a mix of kids and a veteran down there and Grigo/Armia and who ever will be closer to our top line if not our top line. I think i have mentioned this before, but the sabres are set up for an interesting two years because I can tell Regier is planning for the future and is going to make his decision on those UFA's based on what they achieve this year and most of next year. We got a lot of youth knocking on the door and some vets that have preformed admirably for us, but never took us all the way. It will be interesting to see who they re sign out of those 4 and who they're willing to turn the page on.....I feel we need to find a spot for Armia and Girgensons and those spots could be vacated by Pommenville & Vanek, but that's a lot of veteran experience to lose and replace with 2 kids....

My guess is Pommer is signed to an extension, Vanek is gone and Miller is iffy, but probably gone. I can see Vanek signing with the Wild and Miller with SJ.

But unless he really stinks up the joint, he and the sabres are going to want him playing more. Armia is playing for us sooner or later, Ott is definitely a no-brainer. I don't see anyone seriously trying to push Miller out of a job. As i said, interesting future ahead. We're pretty well stocked right now.

New rules in arbitration now . we can't walk away from an over 3.5? award.
Depending on how he playes tonight and going forward . is he worth it ?
He playes great .. I say yes .. will darcy pony up for him ? questionable imo

Enroth has arbitration rights. If he gets 15 out of 24 points for us, the arbitrator won't be kind to us. They tend to prorate over a full season.

Agreed. If Vanek stays, he needs to take a pay cut....may be pommenville too? A little less $$$ for a retirement plan may be? I like Enroth as a backup, but just don't see him as a starter for the Sabres.
