I think it is; from time to time, Scrivens can be a solid backup against teams that are mid-par like the Leafs, but I feel like Reimer is their guy unless they find a better upgrade at a reasonable price.

i find carlyle a bit of a wildcard, hard to tell what he's got in mind. even if they find a better guy, i think reimer should still get a good 15-20 starts in this season. i've seen enough to think he's worth developing at the nhl level.. until he gives us a reason to think otherwise.

I'm so sick and tired of us busting out the "ifs" when it comes to this (frank)ing team. We deserve all the trolling we get for poop like that. And I know you're not necessarily saying if he can do it, but making a point on how he played that first year....but (frank). Just adding my 1 cent.

Yes, we deserve to be trolled for seeing things in a positive light.

Give me a break. He's shown he's a capable goalie for more of his career than he's shown he isn't. Taking a knee-jerk pessimistic attitude isn't "realism" or whatever you want to dress it up as. It's actually irrational in this case.

Sounds like you've come to terms with the fact that the Canucks are missing the playoffs this year. Enjoy that.

If these players all click on the level that we saw them do when they all had their break out years, look out! We'll be good. Just give them time.

I know eh, Carlyle can be hard to read but I guess the players really get him, I respect his approach as a "I will call you out on the poop you need to work on" type of guy. I really hope they stick with Reimer and give him more chances to prove himself, he's obviously a bit rusty but when he hits his stride he can make some great saves and be solid.

Reimer atleast attempts to make a save, Scrivens just sits there, almost no reaction. When Reimers in net, it atleast feels like you can count on the guy in net, with Scrivens it feels hopeless.

The Canucks have been so good thus far this season that their opponents have all gotten points when playing them.

i've always been on the fence with carlyle. if anything, i think he proves just how big of a cancer wilson was. it's not hard to see the positives though. the team is definitely alot more responsible defensively.. even with the gaffs tonight. not hard to see how the players respond to him either.

i think reimer should definitely start saturday against the rangers, and probably buffalo on monday. maybe give him a night off after, depending on how it goes. but he definitely needs a little string of games at some point. he needs the chance to prove he can run with the ball, even in a small window.
