Scrivens over dramatizes his glove saves, he should not be starting in the NHL. |

Those were defensive breakdowns for sure.. But sometimes a team needs its good to bail em out. Scrivens has allowed 3 sloppy goals.
Neither has proven to be a stud, but anyone pretending Scrivens should be starting over Reimer is out to lunch. Reimer clearly has more potential.
That being said, everyone gloating about how our goaltending is fine.. With a 3 game window to prove their point needs a head shake. I'm quite confident in a condensed season, our goaltending will leave us with a lotto pick. - joel878
The first one was pretty sloppy (but really, Dion should've bailed HIM out), but that last one was literally not Scrivens' fault; your team is your first line of defence, you can't just let an opposing player stand at your goal line for an easy tap-in. |

You can't be serious, did you see those defensive breakdowns? - Conquest
No they just see the goals not the plays or breakdowns that created them |

Reimer is the only one who has proven he can be be an NHL goalie for a significant stretch.
I'm not about to dump on Scrivens because he has truly had no help today, but there's no denying he's looked shaky all three games this year. |

The first goal was Scriven's fault. After that, not gonna blame him at all.
He still needs time, look at what Kadri is becoming... Maybe, just maybe, we can be a group of fans that give our young players time to develop... no? Ok, fine I'll shutup then.. |

Dont be foolish, he had one decent game with two HORRIBLE goals. - Fakepartofme
After not playing for how long? If he's going to get back into the groove of things he has to play consistently, allowing 2 goals from arguably 2 of the best players in the NHL is not that big of a deal. Yesterday, if Scrivens were in, the score probably would have been 5-4 Pittsburgh. |

It was never wilson's fault last year for the bad defence... it was all on the goaltending... |

Fair enough.. Can only argue that so much.
Either way.. I think Reimer clearly has more potential. I see Scrivens as a career backup at best. Reimer at least has a shot at being a starter in this league.
I can't help but think this string of Scrivens starts is nothing more than a structured plan to ease Reimer back in as starter. |

Oh gimme a break, who scored the goals had nothing to do with it....they never should have been goals...even if it was Orr or the Great one shooting it.

Both, but never should have gotten to Phaneuf. Off the draw, bounced to Scrivens, was an easy cover. He bobbled it (his fault), then Phaneuf bobbled it (his fault), then they capitalized.
Sloppy all around. |
