My bigger concern is that Carlyle is using Kostka on the number 1 powerplay. I understand he pairs with Phaneuf on his regular pairing, but there is no way that he should be on the 1st PP unit. Use Gardiner or Franson in that situation

I'm sure once Gardiner gets into game shape he'll be on the #1 PP unit. How would have that 5 on 3 vs Buffalo turned out if we had him out there? What about last night's 5 on 3? If RC doesn't put him up there soon when Jake is ready, than RC needs to be shown the door.

Yeah but whats to lose? could turn out good, is a gamble. Like other people here mentioned, they would rather run with bernier and reimer. We dont need a luongo, or a backstrom to come here. Bernier has potential and is younger than scrivens like jbold has said, and i believe that duo would be better of him and reimer in net sharing the duties. Even if we come in last place this year, we get a good pick and we then load up of UFAS come the summer.

EDIT: we dont have a team to play in front of a goalie like luongo or backstrom. Yeah sure we might make the playoffs, but we wont even make it past the 2nd round or even the first. Come the summer, our best bets is to get a good pick, load up on ufa's, and go from there. If we come in last place and get a mackinnon or drouin, and have one of those with rielly develop, down the road we are getting better

It's pointless why give away Scrivens + for a goalie has never done anything more than Scrivens has done. Scrivens for Bernier straight up - sure but LA won't do that. More than that is just rolling the dice and throwing players away.
