that wasnt the coaches call.. that was the ghost of ron wilson showing himself.. their play reminded me of last year.. where the mantra was to just go on offense regardless of the situation.

the worst part was even with that bafoonery the goal could have been prevented but (Kulemin I believe) comes back and follows the puck into the corner with the other Leafs instead of covering the slot...man that was a painful play lol

one guy got a chance and held it in deep.. okay good.. then someone else decides to go to the net.. ummm okay.. the isles turn it around and the guys are back far enough to be in position but then they turned it around again

what should of been done: dump the puck in deep and let one guy go in to create pressure on the D while the other gets back into his defensive position.

what happened: the leafs attempted a 2 on 3 and turned the puck over.. creating a 3 on 2 rush back the other way

outcome: goal.

Said it b4, need to say it again: The Leafs PP 5 on 3 cost them the win vs Buffalo. Last night AGAIN the 5 on 3 cost them a win. Up 3-1, if they cash in on the 5 on 3, the game is pretty much done, Instead the penalty kill gave new life to a flat Isles team. Leafs could easily be 4-0 if they had a good PP. There PP looks sooo disorganized especially 5 on 3. There is like no chemistry between Phaneuf & Kessel. That's scary cause Dion is our #1 d man & Phil is our #1 scorer.

Hope Carlyle gave it to them good today at practice, i guarantee he probably went mental yesterday in the lockerroom after game

My bigger concern is that Carlyle is using Kostka on the number 1 powerplay. I understand he pairs with Phaneuf on his regular pairing, but there is no way that he should be on the 1st PP unit. Use Gardiner or Franson in that situation

Why the F did RC wait sooo long? Who didn't see the 3rd period collapse coming? I knew it was coming the way the 2nd ended. Randy should have pulled Ben after 2 & read the riot act after the 2nd. I'm sure he didn't cause no way would the Leafs have come out soo flat in the 3rd.

Your talking about the pp, while the isles scored 6 unanswered goals in the 3rd period with like 13 minutes left.

Phaneuf was a -3 yesterday and he should not be paired with kostka. He needs to play with gunner again, gunner was a +2 yesterday, he balances that defensive pair especially with phaneuf. Carlyle needs to balance the defense pairings. Gardiner works well with kostka anyways, both of them should be together and gunner should be paired with phaneuf just like last year. And then you have liles paired with either franson or komi switching games

Our defense was running around in circles for the first 15 minutes, and Nabokov let in a softie, which put your team up 3-1. Unfortunately, after the Isles potted the second goal, the flood gates opened...Scrivens was cr*p for three straight after that- that's why you lost. Especially Aucoin's goal.....steeeerike one.... Until I saw the name on the back of the sweater, I was excited by the thought that you had taken DiPietro off our hands before the game last night. How disappointing to find out it was someone else..
