A lot of games still look like pre-season games. Don't know if you've watched parts of the Habs game last night, but the Caps look horrendous, still trying to find line combinations that work.

Quite the let down for those expecting "playoff type hockey from the get go due to the shortened schedule".

The forwards actually didn't look too bad as a whole.

I just think they sat back once they got up 3-1, thinking that if anything, they'd be able to pump more past Nabby.

Young team mistake, good coaching can fix that, which is why saturday will be so important in assessing this team.

If Carlyle can get our blueliners to pay attention and execute out there then it'll make Reimer's job a lot easier.

As for NYRs defence, it'll be really interesting to see where the Leaf's offence is against probably the best D&G in the league
