You never know. Look at the kings last year. Got hot at right time. They were average at best until the last month of the season

Come back when the Leafs have an equivalent for Quick, Kopitar, Doughty, Richards and Carter.

I'm sure they'll be able to create that type of team really, really soon.

I'm not comparing both teams. But sometimes making the playoffs is valuable to a teams growth even when losing

I'll take an in his prime Tretiak as well. Unfortunately, we are talking about today. I guess that's the base difference between Vancouver and Toronto fans. We live in the present and you're all stuck in the past.

OK, I'm for trading team rosters with the Kings. Anyone else out there?

We have nothing like what the Kings had for assets. For starters. They had Drew Doughty. Add Kopitar, Brown and Quick. Then have the assets to grab Carter and Richards. They acquired their core from drafting in the top 5 and had draft choices that they could swing to fill holes. The Leafs roster had just one asset in the minors to call up, if there was an injury to a forward. He's now here, with Lupul down. Our defense is average and Kostka is starting to drop back, now that teams are starting to get up to speed. Kostka may stick as a number 6, but soon will not be in the top 4. Right now, our goaltending is average and nothing to fall back on. There are no assets to trade for help right now. So what you see, is what you get. Stay the course and see where it takes us.

I agree. Trading away any pieces you do have for a goalie that is over rated probably doesn't help 3 or so years from now when the team can potentially be ready to compete.

And if they lose their next game they are .500 too. Except in the season series we're winning 1-0 so we would get the edge.

Its all about whether they win their next game or not.

Disregarding the statistics for a goalies one start (and relief) is ignoring the past?

This is like being in a seedy bar. Knock'em down, drag them out, A$$ rape them, anything goes. The cops come in, the next morning and take the drunks to the drunk tank. Suspend them for a day and they come back a day later. Life at HB after midnight!

Of course it hurts. Too much truth.

Just like you and your fellow fans disregard Cup wins at your convenience.

Why would such a great goalie only start 1 of his teams 3 games? Too good for this time of the season? Resting him? Or has he been knocked off his perch?
