I'm as big a fan of Knoobs as the next guy...but my goodness, the man is slower than Delmon Young.

Well done!

Flyers brought their lunch pail and work boots to the ice.

Loved the post-game interview with Nik Grossmann.

Ok, it's PIA again on the cap and LTIR:

Are the player salaries prorated for 48 games or are they making their full salary over 48 games?

- jstross

All salaries are prorated for the shortened Season. Feel free to PM me with any Cap questions. I'll be happy to answer any questions in detail.

Flyers haven't been using LTIR. They likely will now, with the addition of Knuble and the injury to Meszaros.

I guess were gonna see how much he has left. I was as big a fan of Knuble as anyone. But I don't know about this. It's a warm healthy body.
- MJL

I preferred Arnott, but Knuble will help. Even if it's almost exclusively as a big body in front of the net on the PP.

the 4th line was a breath of fresh air tonight.

sometimes a little less skill and a little more physicality and emotion can be a good thing.

- FlyerGuy

They looked better then expected but Shelley and Sesito together is scary slow. Lavy had to use a timeout to give them a break after they couldn't get off the ice from icings. Bryz was smart to freeze the puck on two different occasions to get them off the ice. No hiding it, that line is slow and a liability. They had their moments tonight where they hit and kept the puck in the o zone for a little, but I would prefer to never see that tandem on a line again if possible.

Thanks. I calculate about 54-55K per game for Hartnell. That Should be enough LTIR over 15 games to cover Knuble's 750K, right?

Cap space is calculated per day of the Season, not by games. The Flyers already have plenty of options to place on LTIR.

The 4th line played well tonight. They played in the Rangers end on a couple of shifts. They came in and did the job.

Actually, right now, they don't need to use LTIR to fit Knuble. When they recall a defenseman they will need to utilize the LTIR exemption.

Who the heck is the next Dman up with Foster, Walker, Gus, Bourdon, Pronger and Mez out? Lilja, Manning?

agreed.

I wouldn't want to go with Sestito and Shelley all year - or maybe Shelley at all - but perhaps Sestito and Rinaldo both playing might add a needed physical element to the lineup.

Foster is available to play. Barring a trade, I recall Lilja. I have no problems with a 3rd pair of Gervais and Lilja.

I don't think Shelley is an everyday player. But I have no problems when he plays. More times then not, he does his job. Plays well positionally, throws some hits, and plays his position and makes the right plays.

Ok, good. I don't think he's played that poorly.

Look at the bright side. The injured guys are getting lots of rest.

Only 2 games, but I wasn't impressed. I like Gervais better based on his two games.
