of course, an hour ago i'm predicting his future starting role, and he gets "demoted" to the echl.

this isn't a terrible thing, but i'd rather they let him play and move munroe somewhere else. the ship has sailed for him, while boucher could could backup and be a good teacher.

Sestito has the balance of a newborn dear when he fights. Shame really because he's huge and should be a good fighter.

I think what makes Simmonds so tough to fight is his balance and leverage. He only weighs 180 lbs, so it's not like he's going to just overpower guys. He's just really hard to knock off balance and throws a heavy punch for his size.

When Mr. Sestito broke into the league, he had the misfortune of being trained by Hartnell for balance, athleticism, and skating.

Thanks, Scoob. All is well; baby was stubborn & didn't allow all ultrasounds to be taken. Have to go back next week.

Glad to hear it. And since this isn't your first rodeo you're well aware that's just the first time the kiddo won't do what you want done.

the best part is that sestito injured his (frank)ing groin.

I don't see him as much more than a warm body on the bench anyway.

Lol.. I kinda chuckled when I read it, but this is definitely a good thing for his development. Haha.. talk about timing though

I honestly think he could be a capable NHL role player. A guy who could rack up 10 goals 15 assists.. He just needs to forcheck hard, but within the rules.. hit hard, but within the rules, and not die when he gets into fights.

my brother's always been good at timing. not a surprise. conventional wisdom at camp was that hovinen would beat out heeter for the phantoms spot. didn't work out that way. hopefully he takes it in stride and just continues his strong play. still a long way to go to finish the season.

Saw on Twitter Hovinen's being let out of his contract. He's being waived for purpose of terminating the contract.

No... you don't think that. If you could get someone like that on a 60 day contract that would be great.

Has Heeter struggled in the AHL? I agree, unless they feel he needs to play against lesser competition to get some confidence or soemthing like that, dosn't make a lot of sense. Boucher and Monroe have no future for the Flyers.

I hope this isn't the move that was made with the contract slot that was freed up earlier today.

Titanic circa when half the boat was underwater and the other half was pointed skyward.

Unwavering, indescribable panic. People jumping off the top of the ship to a massive plunge into frigid waters, people fighting for life boats, frantic screaming and yelling....utter chaos.....

But, amongst all of this, a small group of people are calm and unconcerned: the string quartet.

not to my knowledge at all. his numbers are not good, but he has played very well by all accounts i've read.
