And just like that Horak gets sent to Abbottsford......seriously WTF?! This is ridiculous. If the Flames want to even think about having a decent future a guy like Horak needs his development. The fact that they can`t even find some space for 4-5 young guys really pisses me off. I`ve seen enough of Stajan, Comeau, Jackman (god love him), Begin. Seriously. (frank) those guys. Bury them in the AHL. Put them in the press box. This is embarrassing. - The-O-G
It might be because Horak is on a 2 way??? Not sure though. |

It probably is....but so is Begin. Why was Comeau re-signed anyway? Just makes me mad. No way a guy should be sent down because of his contract, Feaster always says you have to MAKE his hockey team. Horak has done more than enough to make this team that`s for sure, nonetheless he gets the shaft because of his contract. Feaster isn`t going to make any friends doing business like that. |

I agree. The line up needs some toughness though, which Begin brings Horak does not.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Comeau on waivers some time soon and if clears he'll be sent down. |

Ya I know they need toughness...but one guy isn`t going to do the job, especially playing 5-6 minutes per game. I don`t know. They need some young guys with some grit. Just really bugs me to see a kid come up here, show promise, do what he is told and then get demoted. If that was me I would be bitter. |

He'll get another chance. Who knows what Feaster is doing. Maybe he's trying to move players, Babchuk, Comeau, Butler, etc. |

I hope so dude.....they can rebuild as they go, but they need room for the young guys. Horak needs to be up here. |

With Detroits D in the shape it's in (3 of top 6 out) maybe they would slightly over pay for a Babchuk/Butler type player. |

I actually prefer Horak playing top line in Abbotsford if he's not on the top 3 lines here. He's too skilled to be on a checking line. |

Begin is on a 2-way but not an entry level contract so he would have to clear waivers. Didn't see Horack staying when Cervenka was ready, 2 similar a style |

I agree we should make a call, but that still wouldn't really open up a spot for Horak. At least we know we'd see Brodie on a regular basis though. |

I like Begin, but didn't we already have Bouma to play that exact role on this team? I don't really understand the signing (unless they're just expecting a lot of injuries this year). I'd rather see the young kids growing into NHL roles. |

My hope is that they are trying to find assets, guys that can be reclamation projects and if they come around and we miss the PO, we can trade for picks. One can dream.
I was really hoping that Comeau would take advantage of this opportunity. Maybe playing with Sven will help score a couple and find some confidence.
Bouma is out for the season with an injury, in case you didn't know. |

Besides tangs, horrid shoot out choices.
Throw baertschi in there next time.
Not a bad game. Nice to see jbo not out as much. Wideman played well, looked like jbo was supposed to he for the last 5 yrs.
Coumeau was horrible out there.
Kassian looked great, so I'm sure all the Canuck fans will be on that bad wagon now. He's going to be Bert 2.0 |

Ya some bad choices for the SO, too many shooters and not enough skilled guys going. As for Kassian, he's so young, he could have actually played junior last year. He'll be fine in a few years. He'll have growing pains like most NHLer's not named Crosby or Stamkos. |

Missed the game, what I want to know is how did Schroeder look - is he an NHL'er? I ask flames fans as Canucks fans tend to see through blue and green glasses. Or spaghetti skate glasses |

Iginla has to be the worst player when it comes to shootouts in the entire league. no joke. stempniak, glencross and cammy didnt do much better, but Iginla does that same shot every single chance he gets. its embarrassing really. he should be left off the shooters list until they hit at least the 5th round. am i over-reacting? i dont think so. |

Let me see Sven or Backlund in the shootout for crying out loud! Iggy, Stempniak, and Glen X were pathetic! As soon as I saw Glen X was taking the last shot I knew we were done and I knew exactly what he was going to do. Let Sven loose, my god, playing him on a line with Stajan and Comeau. I'd rather be in Abbottsford!

Didn't really notice him much out there.....although it must be tough for him playing on a line with Weise haha. He did take a bad penalty, I think he looked alright. |
