If you know what is expected of you you can do it. Hard to make someone happy if they don't let on what it is they are looking for.

Bravo to the Leafs on that game last night. The Pens seemed to lose focus and the Leafs made them pay. Nice road win for them.

Does Holmgren start to panic if the Flyers lose again tonight??

Rangers are in Philly.

It could start to get fugly in Philly.

Philly gets the W tonight. NYR on back to backs, have to play in a tough enviroment in Philly. We'll see.

It was frustration, a few Leafs got under their skin as well as the refs, lol.

Leafs started 9-3-1 last year....they weren't even in the playoffs at the 48 game mark. I think this ia bit different, during that stretch last year the Leafs were still giving up a ton of chances, and not playing nearly the D they've shown thus far.

Sadly they almost pulled it off. If Stempniak and Stajan are making your team look bad.....they might actually really be bad.

It was funny - I was watching the Flames feed, and the commentators were slobbering all over themselves in praise of Iggy - swearing that although nothing is going in for him right now, it's just a matter of time.

Unfortunately, I came to the opposite conclusion. To me, he looks like a guy who is starting to lose it - still knows what he wants to do, but he just can't execute anymore. He had half a dozen chances, and sadly couldn't put the biscuit in the basket on any of them.

For the love of God, Calgary: trade this guy.

James van Riemsdyk scoring two goals and looking generally amazing last night is a real, swift extra kick to the you-know-where

Looks like the Flyers are starting to have buyers remorse.

- faceto27

Well, on the Flyers team, there are only 3 players that are + in the +/- category. One is Luke Schenn. He may not have any points, but at least he's playing alright.

I think they might be afraid it turns into a Sundin-like fiasco. And I don't blame them.

Look, faceto27, if you're going to start questioning hockey trade roomers here based on questions like, "would it work Cap wise?" or "isn't that against the rules?" or "I thought that guy died in 1987" I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

This is Hockeybuzz.

Seems like Crosby went poopy-ape-poop over an off-side call. I'm guessing that was the straw that broke the camel's back, but c'mon, Sid - you've got to keep your cool on that.

And some may have considered it poor sportsmanship to try for a goal on the final 5 on 3, but I'm not going there. Quite frankly, our 5 on 3 has looked terrible - it was good practice.

Unfortunately, Bozak scored, which makes my job of getting rid of him harder.

Ron Wilsons' free flowing style was obviously wrong for this group. You tell these guys to go out and just skate and turn everything into offense, and they start to get lost on defense. Wilson should have been preaching defense to his top players from the start, but he never did. Not to mention his horrible treatment of the younger players, so glad he's gone.
