Damn Phaneuf. No accuracy and now it costs Lupul most of the season. |

can't really be surprised about Lupul he signs a new contract and will now be injury prone. At least the good news is that they have a guy now that they can stick in his place in Van Riemsdyk where last year we had no one.
It will also give a chance to Frattin or one of the other wingers down in the AHL. |

Why are people blaming Phaneuf?
How dare we have a d-man, with a bomb of a shot, from the point.
I guess were so used to Kaberle passing to the ghost in the corner.
99.99% of the time, when a puck hits a player - It does not shatter his bone.
Lupul has a glass body, what can I say? He has been injured almost every year of his career.
The ink is not even dry, on the contract... 5 more years - 5+ per season.
I like Lupul, and he seems like a great guy to have in the dressing room... But what was the emergency to lock him up, 1-2 games into the season? A bit rushed.

Injury prone my ass..you take a slapshot off your forearm in the one spot where's there's no padding...could have happened to anyone...except most general people would drop to the ice in pain and shock instead of wincing and skating off the ice...and while we're on topic, anyone can herniate a disk just bending over to pick up their toothbrush...it's not his fault his operation wasn't sterile enough...injury prone my ass |

It's one case where learning from the Nucks could have saved Lupul - he could have dove way before that puck got anywhere near him (or any other player got anywhere near him for that matter). Could have saved his damn arm.

the only problem I have with phaneuf and his shot, is that the majority of his shots aren't on net. |

On the bright side.........
Leafs are looking really good defensively right now. The offence is cycling and creating chances. If not for Miller standing on his head, we'd be 3-0 right now.
Next up......... Islanders tonight.

so first it was the back, then the shoulder, and now its the forearm. and you still say he is not injury prone.
Burn buddy you need to cut your loses...or learn how to admit you're wrong - Lee Denault
Getting hit in the arm doesn't make him injury prone.
His back WAS an issue 2 years ago and it doesn't appear to be anymore. That's enough for me. Anyone can get a separated shoulder or broken arm. They are not related. |

Accident prone maybe but not injury prone...
Leafs where great last night for some it's hard to find something to complain about so it's natural that they complain about Lupuls contract because of the injury...

MArlies travelled to Cleveland yesterday for a game today against Lake Erie. What are the chances they don't bring anyone up and put Steckel in?? |

Morning people. How do i make this my location
I'd rather have Kassian than Hall, Eberle and Nuge. Kassian can take over a game. Hall, Everle and Nuge can't. Sky is the limit with Kassian.

The replacement may just take Lupul's spot on the first line. |

Frattin can hop on a plane this morning if need be. Hopefully they told him last night to pack his bag.

I like Frattin, but who should have not made the team at the start of season ahead of Frattin?
It would have been a mistake to have him play on the fourth line |

Injuries can happen anytime..... Look at Lombardi. He was healthy his whole career and then signed in NAshville was was injured in game 2. anything can happen anytime.
As long as the persistent issues (IE the back) are no longer an issue then I have no problem. And as far as I can tell they are, and certainly the Leaf believe so too.
Calling him injury prone because 2 years ago he missed most of 2 season, and it hasn't come up since...... but he got hit by a slapshot is rather ridiculous. |
