Outside of Malkin and Crosby...... the Pens really aren't all that good. Their defense is terrible and their role players are meh.......

Still a solid win though!

But I can't see the Pens coming out of the east over the Bruins, Rangers or Flyers. Wayyy too many holes in that lineup

Sorry, just stepped out for a smoke. Got to get ready for the thrashing tonight.

The good news is, it would be almost impossible not to improve on a 11.65 GAA for Schneider.......

Nope. If its Carlyle's call he'll pick up the last guy sent down, rather than the one who wasn't buying into a new role

true and frattin is a winger. Hopefully he gets the call. Which means its frattin-kadri-komarov on the third...im ok with that!

Good to see all the lines clicking tonight. Grabovski responded in a big way, same with the whole line who were feeling the pressure.

All we need now is to get Kessel scoring again. Playing good, just not burying his many chances.

Cant say enough about the D. Huge difference from last year.

Sorry, in the playoffs. Rangers, Bruins and Flyers would all beat them in my opinion. They are a good team but their defense aside from Letang isn't great and their bottom six don't match up well to other teams bottom sixes. But it is nice having the luxury of the two best hockey players in the game on your team but you can see how it affects the rest of your line up.

Scrivens, for the sake of my fantasy hockey team. Because that's how the Leafs make roster decisions.

Also, it just makes sense. Give Scrivens Thursday and back to Reimer Saturday. If Reimer can put up wins against Pittsburgh AND the Rangers, then the net is his.

Damn, did he look good tonight.

- Leeman4Gilmour

I picked up scrivens in my pool too

I only caught the last 10 mins of the game as I was playing some hockey... Good to hear Reimer was decent overall. We wont have to listen to those Van fans tell us how we need to trade for Lolungo...

Flyers D and goaltending is not much better. The first two I agree with.

What?????? James Neal is awesome. Kunitz is pretty solid. Letang is a Norris contending level Dman, Niskanen is pretty solid, Orpik is a solid hard hitting defensive dman, Despres is a top young Dman prospect/player. The last 2 lines and third pairing are nothing special, but Pitts is absolutely stacked.

So, after that game, you felt your first comment should be
"Signed that contract just in time"?

Woulda been tough signing it with a cast on his arm.

I'm still okay with the deal though... woulda preferred a year less of couple of mil less overall, but still, it could be worse

5 goals against in 3 games to start. Didnt one of the Van goalies give up that many in 1 game? I think so

I wish we could have managed a point out of the Buffalo game...we deserved that.

To rejoice in the eventual playoff birth that this glorious victory will surely lead to?
