Well since we never had him and can not undue anything....we have to try and pry other teams potential #1 centers away...not easy to do...Kessel is the Bait, but we can find another Kessel I am sure

I follow the Leafs religiously and know his value. I've had the pleasure of playing against Strome and he's filthy, but Kessel is an All-star in the best league in the world. We don't trade an All-star for a maybe, and a piece of junk (Nederreiter is junk). My opinion is based on facts, nothing to do with the Leafs. No gm would make that ridiculous trade.

The first game he gets shelled for 6 or 7 goals would be hard to sell to fans, too. And you gave up a first rounder *as a starting point.* God only knows what else.

Strome is a number one center? Lolllll. I think i'll keep Kessel and try to take a stab at Getzlaf+Perry this offseason before i make any trades. We're one of the only teams with the right cap situation to lure in a combo like Getzlaf+Perry for what they'll be asking, thanks to Burkes unwillingness to hand out those handcuffing deals.

Realistically, Bernier is worth the same as scrivens and reimer value wise, except probably reimer is worth a bit more because he has played most of a season... so yeah he cant be worth a kings ransom

Edit: after he is done with tampa which gave him the time to try and win a cup there, if not when done he wants to play for the leafs, he even said he wanted to play for them and that is why he signed a short contract. Watch, in 3 years time, leafs will be competitive, we just gotta build this team correctly

a player like strome would be who you structure a trade around. But if you believe Kessel is starting point for a contending team....no point discussing trading him
