Don't see the big fuss over bernier having exceeding value when the guy demanded a trade out of there. And he has not shown anything special in the NHL for a long stint of games played continuously. - Mapleleafs_91
I really don't get what all the hype over Bernier is.
Plus LA is in no way inclined to move him at the moment. They simply have no need, and regardless of how much Jonny wants out, as long as he's an asset that will appreciate, LA doesn't move unless we grossly overpay |

Been to Holland myself.
They don't sell us the 'actual' Heineken. The stuff over there, esp in draught, was one of the most delicious beers I've tasted - AngryWhiteMale
This is exactly the truth. The importing process kills the beer, especially in the green bottles. I can't remember exactly why, but I think it has to do with UV light getting through and breaking down the beer. |

No, you're drinking real Heineken - it's imported from the Netherlands.
If you order a Bud, it's brewed in Canada.
But Heineken is shipped here. It's the real deal. |

2 years younger, and better. LA might not see it the same way you do - Big_Lightnin
But think about it, Bernier is not better than most goalies in the league as a starter and he wants to be a starter. Only teams he can prove that on is the leafs or devils since brodeur wont be there much longer. Majority of the other teams have their starters or better goaltenders ATM than bernier which they would choose them over him. |

ya they're not giving him away. Like Vancouver probably should have done with Schnieder - they have an extra asset they can use to upgrade the team. They'll get good return or keep him.
Nucks can't afford to do that with Lu though cause me makes too much, and eventually it will become a problem for the team (current start could suggest it already is.)

Beer bottles are coloured to protect it from UV sunlight. Green is fine.
As a general rule, draught beer isn't pasteurized, but bottled (and canned) beer is, which would account for discrepencies in taste.

My starting lineup of beers is as such.
LW - Heineken
Not great in a can, but solid against the glass, and if you're lucky enough to draught it you can give it time in the minors first.
C - Steigel
A can that basically looks like a WWII German propaganda poster. This has all the makings of a scary top line centre who will beat your french ass down.
RW - Faxe (White)
Unlike his older, 10% brother, who wasn't able to make it to the pros because of too many fighting-related suspensions, this lager strikes the right balance between skill and strength. Good at both ends of the ice
D - Lech
Underrated in a way that brings Carl Gunnarsson to mind. This 'poor-man's Stella' goes down incredibly smooth. But not to worry, it's got a rough side, clocking in at 500ml and 5.2%
D - Lowenbrau
Saavy vet who goes back 500 or so years since Bavaria made purity laws. Germans tried other such 'purification' laws over the years but in hindsight they really should have just stuck to the beer. The young lads look up to this guy.
G - Molson EX 750ml 5.5
This big burly bastard is your last line of defence. If nobody else on the team is present you just need to hold your nose and hope this guy does the job. - AngryWhiteMale
so your lineup is made up of the worst players from Europe... |

Yes, but you could also argue (perhaps not about the Leafs, but in general) that you are better off taking a non-sentimental view of your players. When they are done, get rid of them. - Atomic Wedgie
I agree with that, but I was thinking of more in the line that the Leafs get rid of them while they are still in their prime.
Mahoivich was shipped out cause he had differences with Imalch, and the fans started booing him.
Keon felt betrayed by Ballard.
McDonald's mistake was having Sittler as his best friend.
Sittler, was a casualty of the above.
It just goes on and on. We are never happy with what stars we do have.
We could probably win the cup and Leaf nation would still be female doging about the team in some way shape or form.
Poor Kessel is one of the top RW in the league. His crime? He is soft spoken, and not a rah rah type.

We have a winning record against them though (29-22-7-2, the 7 being ties), just lately (last year or two) they've really had our number |

Ah, that makes sense too. All this discussion finally led me to Google.

I can't believe that I'm citing a Yahoo Answers page, but some light does still pass through brown bottles, as well as the green ones. Brown is preferable to green, but kegs are obviously preferable to both. |

It's just funny that people throw around proposals like Kessel for Nino Neiderreiter.
With all due respect, are you (frank)ing kidding me? Take a look at a guy like Ilya Kovlachuk, who had almost identical stats to Kessel last year, factor in that Kessel is 4 years younger, then ask yourself if New Jersey would send him our way for Kadri.
It's insanity. - Leeman4Gilmour
I dont think anyone suggested straight for nino lol..
but Kovalchuk is probably a fair comparision. he was traded in 2010 when he was 27ish for Johnny Oduya, Niclas Bergfors, Patrice Cormier and 1st 2010 (Kevin Hayes)
Is that what we can expect if Kessel doesnt want to sign an extension?
