why are line combos such a hot topic all the time?
I could care less who is playing where, does it really matter?

it matter to a point, but the time spent by people typing out their line combos and posting it here baffles me.

The Leafs went 0-4 against them last year, they're exactly the type of team the Leafs would lose against; they're mediocre and to most teams it's 2 points, but the Leafs never cash in against weak teams like them.

I wouldn't put too much weight in that though. Otherwise teams like Philly, NYR, & Vancouver are doomed with their start.

I think they're playing well above their heads. My guess is that it'll catch up to them within a few weeks.

In terms of the Leafs start; there's no gaurantees there either, but they at least seem to be more organized than in years past.

Even great teams are due for a blowout against them, it happens all the time, what you don't want to see is it happening on a frequent basis, then you have real problems.

Watching that game last night, the Oilers need 5 stay at home defenseman, those forwards don't know how to back check, it is all go in the offence zone and then they look like their skates are in concrete going back to their own zone. Lots of odd man rushes for the opposition.

i have no idea. i will say however that it could go either way.

the leafs have gone with youth.. and the offense isnt firing.. this could end up being a long long year if this becomes a trend.
