That third line is tiny, if those are what our lines are going to look like. We either need a top 6 winger, or a 3rd line winger with size, similar to Poni.

I agree. I'm still convinced we are best keeping Clarkson on the third line, to fix that problem, unless we add a forward. I honestly don't know where Darche fits in unless Tedenby get's sent down. I could see:

Zubrus-Zajac-Kovalchuk
Elias-Henrique-Trade
Darche/Tedenby-Josefson-Clarkson
Carter-Gionta-Bernier

Matteau should 100% be sent back. I love the idea of getting him to play games and the fact that he doesn't look out of place by any means, but I'd rather him develop more. Matteau should be the stopgap forward-wise until Henrique comes back. It was projected to be 7-10 days from yesterday. And his fifth game would be January 29th, so that means Henrique will either be ready or very close. The next game will be the 31st.

I don't think Matteau contributes enough offensively or defensively to make him that much of an upgrade over other guys. It's not a shot at him, but how much better is he than Darche, Bernier, Carter, etc. Not much, if at all. So for that reason, in my opinion, he shouldn't stick around.

Anybody else notice how much they put the Flyers in commercials? I am still under the impression the one saying they went 82-0 in the season is the reason why they can't win poop. Same with Ovechkin scoring 9 goals in a game and since then he hasn't been as good.

And I agree with your other post. Matteau definitely needs to go back after 5 games. He's looked solid, but I would rather let him develop properly. Maybe bring him back for the playoffs if its possible.

Hopefully Lou has told him to sit tight while he tries to make a deal to free up a roster spot for him.
I agree Matteau should be sent down. Let him get the minutes in the minors to work on his game, plus he may not be ready for the rigors of the NHL once they get deeper into the season and start playing back to back games.

lol word is he is healthy and isnt in their plans maybe he could be had for cheaper but it started with someone saying they would be looking for more of a stay at home dman then subban i through the idea of williams out there was asking a little to much they really like him but i guess if it was volch for gagne straight up he would be on a plane to nj right now i realize he has had his injury problems but i think he would get that scoring touch back playing with zajac and i figured he would add speed to our line up and larsson could slot in for better or worse
