I'd take Lu over Rinne, MAF, Lundqvist(because I just can't stand the guy)and maybe Miller. This is just personal preference of course because they are all incredible athletes.

At 33 years of age, with 9 years left on his contract (more money per year, and one more year than RIcky D), having never won the big game in the NHL, I dont think he's the answer.
- kindlyrick

I don't think he is either...I have my money completely on Nilsson

Rinne to me is the best in the league. MAF has won cups, and my personal opinion is Henrik and Miller are better goaltenders than Luongo.

Tim Thomas beat Roberto Lunogo last year.......its really that simple.

- kindlyrick

My personal opinion is that Lundqvist is the best goalie in the world right now.

If im not mistaken, these guys are talkin about trading RIcky D along with whomever else for LU. I dont like it either......
- kindlyrick

One mistake (RDP), plus another player, for another mistake (Luongo)? Yes, Luongo is a better player than DP, but he's still a nine year mistake. He'll be 42 at the end of his deal. What do we do with Poulin/Nilsson then? No thanks, especially if I have to give RDP AND another player to get Luongo.

Forget about Ricky D and Luongo.........with Poulin, and Nilson, i ask again to anyone for the Luongo trade, what reason do the isles have to make this deal? I can see if there was talk of bringing in a guy with 2 or maybe 3 years left. But, they have two legit prospects waiting to take over the net, and yet there are fans considering trading for luongo? HELLLLOOOO PEOPLE

I dont think anyone here was considering it.... we were talking about the cryptic message that one of us saw as meaning the Islanders being involved.... That's it.

like xxx said, prospects are prospects, luongo has proven he can play. granted it would have to be the right deal for Lu but i dont think its that insane; i certainly can wrap my head around this one.

as for the prospects; i wouldnt let them rot in bridgeport, you trade/package them in a deal for the top line forward or top 4 dman.

Tim Thomas could've beaten God last year. The guy was unstoppable in a very strange, unorthodox kind of way

I understand what you're saying but being a "legit prospect" is a bit of an oxymoron. You don't know till you KNOW. That's one of Snow's biggest problems, banking on maybes...

Im gonna go out on a limb and say Poulin and Nilson will be NHLers. Matter of fact either of those two should be up here now. If Ricky D wasnt sandbagging this team, those guys would be seeing NHL time.

My point, I think he was last year, but each year a tender gets in age, his reflexes MAY slow..and I said MAY. You never know when there was no pre-season, and a broken season...

Right now he has the Employee of the Month parking space alongside Moulson and Tavares.
