I see a lot of good reasons to, but they won't. First he's guaranteed more ice time, in scoring line roles in Oshawa than he'll get here-even with the injuries. If he needed work on his defensive game, I'd be fine with him staying, but his D is fine.

He needs work on the offensive side of the ice. He'll definitely get that in Oshawa. Also, why burn a year off his ELC and get him closer to UFA at the same time?

All that said, I was 90% sure he'd be staying as soon as he made the roster.

He will be called up when the next injury occurs, which will likely be Couturier falling out of bed tonight.

the day was 2-23-11, when this occurred: "Following practice at the Flyers facility in Voorhees, N.J., Zherdev was seen by reporters strolling down the hallway and talking on his cell phone before hopping into a Lincoln Town Car that drove away from the complex."

True that. All this stuff builds character. When the Flyers eventually reach the pinnacle it will make it all the more sweeter.

I never understood what he did wrong. Were cellphones prohibited at the skate zone? Was he supposed to sprint down the halway? Did jumping in a Lincoln violate the Cadilac grille's sponsorship with Comcast spectacorps?

Nah. Rags are going to be a battered group tomorrow night. Callahan just blocked a Chara slap shot, I'm banking on multiple fractures.
