Hopefully the Flyers hire Stevens so they can fire him again. Y'know, for old times sake.

Kind of silly that Schenn got suspended IMO. It looked like a fine at most for leaving his feet a bit. Wasn't even a penalty for God's sake.. oh well at least it's not 4..
- Hextall271

On the video, he left his feet & got his head. That's been an established precedent.

I don't see Bryz staying after this year. I don't think its his fault this year at all but they could use that money elsewhere.
- stveshdy

They'll have money. Anyway if you buy out Bryz what's the other option? Luo is likely to be traded by then. And if not you're going to get into a bidding war over him.

It's possible. I worry more with the new rules governing long term contracts. I don't want to carry a cap hit if he retires before the deal ends.

They could get a stronger offer than that from a lot of teams. That is unless we're tanking and trading that pick at the deadline, which would be a mistake.

Well, if he is bought out, the goalies scheduled to be UFAs are Niklas Backstrom, Jimmy Howard and Mike Smith. Plus anyone else who gets bought out

Unless you're a WIP caller, because every Flyers call today involved buying out Bryz.

There's that possibilty as well. I hope you're right. I will be watching and a win tomorrow will be huge. Rangers are playing tonight vs a tough Boston team so maybe we catch them tired? I am grasping I know
- Hextall271

There is an opportunity here for growth. For someone to step up and grab the opportunity of more ice time, and make a difference. This team still has plenty of good players. Time for some team building.

You really think any of those teams aren't going to lock those guys up tho?

For the most part I haven't seen anyone blame Bryzgalov thus far, his play has been plenty good enough to win if he had any help from his teammates.

The one slight critique I have of him from last night was on the Devils second goal. He could have gloved the initial shot, he lunged with his glove and missed it. That lead to a chinese fire drill behind the net that resulted in the goal.

Through three games Bryzgalov has played well.

Not sure. Backstrom is older, the Red Wings have a few good young goalies, Smith has struggled to start this season....I don't think any of them are better than Bryzgalov.

My biggest issue was the same goal, but the critique I had was he was trying to pick up his stick when Clarkson threw it in front. Not that that would have prevented the goal, just seemed like he wasn't ready for the puck to come out.

Not bad at all, although I prefer Bryzgalov to all three...just don't like the contract.

Yeah, and I think it's cowardly. Well, as cowardly as one can be in regards to an internet forum with no real life implications. But for real, I hate my stupid screen name here and I stick with this account anyway. If I'm wrong about something, fine, mark it down, I accept whatever reputation I have. It's the only credibility we can have here.
- BulliesPhan87

I'd rather someone come out and say yo I was wrong you were right. They'd lose 0 respect from me and gain some rather than make another account perceivably the purpose of harassing another poster. Hey I don't blame anyone for wanting to let old feuds be in the past then making an account, then be new and have a whole new attitude.

Yeah, that wasn't the greatest of goals to allow there. That said, he's been very good. He's been hung out to dry a good amount so far.

Bryz has been the most solid guy out there through 3 games. I was really disappointed with the way Giroux played when the game started getting out of hand last night. He ended up taking more penalties than anyone.

To me Bryz and Laughton have been the most solid so far. Ain't that saying something.

He settled in well last night after the 2nd goal. Kovy's Penalty shot move was sick. I don't know who stops that. If not for him playing very well the rest of the way, that game is 6-0
