Just a wee bit.
- Jsaquella

You need players who fit in the system.. the devils were great at finding them.

Det too.

Philly takes the best players available instead of the best player for the system.

If you crash the net you dont go get nathan gerbe. You get mike knuble.

Im a firm believer in finding the rught players. Not the best ones.

Herb brooks was a believer in that as well. He also came up with an incredible aystem to beat russia. With less talent.

He is the easier target right now because one trade won't help the problems. Shame because I like him as our coach.

Lava indeed is on an island here. Sending Paddock down to the ice is a big tell tale.

if u have time again to watch b.c. im sure u have check out the vanek breakaway, coburn is star gazing and not even making an effort. he gets paid No. 2 D man money and when hes a second liner at best
- Flyers4Life88

I don't have to watch it again. I know what happened, and I know what kind of player Coburn is. What do you think top 4 veteran defenseman of Coburn's caliber get paid these days?

Exactly. I agree with this post 100%. End the thread (please).

Nope. Guys who didn't play hockey for 7 months should be able to immediately step in and play at a high level after a week of training camp. And young players who take a step back need to be traded. Immediately.

Those players would help, but none of them is the player they need. And unless Calgary is going to unload Bowmeester real cheap, I'm not interested.
- MJL

I actually think Ottawa is a possibilility. They have several puck moving D, they desperately need a physical stay at home guy to replace Cowen. The Flyers have real good stay at home guys but need a puck mover.

Stevens, Neidermayer, And Brodeur are Hall of Fame players in any system.

And crashing the net is not a system. Going to the net, and getting to the dangerous areas of the ice is needed to win regardless of any system a team incorporates.

If we are out of it coming up to trade deadline. Kimmo should bring a 2nd rounder from a cup contender. Would his cap hit be prorated for the rest of the season for the trading team? Would like to see him get a real shot at the Cup He just cant save our bacon anymore.

Nobody will take Briere, if he has a similar regular season as last year, they need to buy him out.

- Just5

He is a UFA after this season.. which hurts, but you better hope to get more than a late 2nd rounder from a cup contender for him.

As a 19 year old, I'm curious. This is open to everyone....

What do you think Herb Brooks' system was against the Russians??

Skip, do you see some of the posts here? There are some upset, unstable fans, and this thread is the only shoulder they have to cry on. In the name of mercy, I say let them continue with the hyperbole and the internet grudges.

They have to tire themselves out eventually, right?

No ones crying...just concerned...the excuse that they are all out of shape and dont know how to play together yet is BS...Last i recall no other team played any more games or had any more prep time then the flyers had....this team just sucks....
