THIS!! I thought the little gaffe in Vancouver of letting a 45fter in would get Dubey settled... I actually said yesterday he will be good... Then he goes and (frank)ing completely provides no help to the team... if we had a kipper we would go undefeated all year... as all he does is bail out shotty team and defense in Calgary... That is a deal I would love to make... as we know sooner or later Calgary is gonna have to tear it all down... Nonetheless I still think Dubey can prove a bit... but come playoff time I would not rest much confidence in his abilities... he continues to be a (frank) up and let the soft ones in which sets us back right at the start of games... He is a back up and an expensive one at that... - saskoil21
you can't put it all on dubnyk. he didn't play well, no doubt, but the team defense in that game was AWFUL. the sharks had SO MANY clean looks from in close, i'm surprised they didn't actually score more. no goalie is gonna succeed when the opposition has about 15 quality scoring chances from within 10 feet of the net. |

and now Kadri is untouchable.. |

Its all about chemistry with him it seems. Detroit or Vancouver might be a good fit for him. He's slowly getting better at his all around game, wins a lot of faceoffs now. - Arctic_AARDVARK
i think he would be a solid 3rd or 4th line center. i have NO DOUBT that as kadri gains some confidence, and improves his overall game, bozak will find his ass on the 4th line faster than bryzgalov can give up 4 goals. |

You're right. Dubby can't take the blame. Total defensive zone coverage was abysmal. Just one of those games. New coach I'm sure new systems. Give it time I guess. Lots of confusion such as both schultzs going behind the net. |

haha.. well third line. I don't think you will see Kessel or Bozak on the Leafs by next years trade deadline. |

I agree. I think like two goals, one for sure can be pinned on Dubnyk. The others he didnt have much of a chance. It was a turd of a period. Possibly the worst Ive ever seen.
They needed this I said ladt night. They needed to be brought back to reality. Hypes over. Now they can play. |

i think he can certainly take some of it, but it's unfair to put it all on is shoulders.
that being said, i still don't think he's the answer in edmonton. speaking from experience, watching years of VERY GOOD ottawa teams get screwed by questionable goaltending, the oilers will need to address the goalie situation. i think dubnyk is alright, but it would be a shame to waste all the talent up front because you have a sub par goalie. |

I could honestly see Bozak doing really well with the Oilers. When he plays with skilled wingers, he puts up lots of points. He's definitely not a passenger. Also, he more than replaces Gagne in the faceoff circle. Dubnyk to Toronto doesn't make much sense though. Considering what we're working with, it's a lateral movement at best. A more expensive one at that. |

bozak is ABSOLUTELY a passenger. he averages about 35pts a year, playing on the top line of a high scoring team. i realize that leaf fans are gonna defend him, cuz he's on your team, but he's probably the worst top line center in the entire league. |

The Oilers have soooo many untouchables that the only way they will become elite is to finish last so often that the current crop become the veterans they're looking for! Lets see, according to Richard, they have 6-8 HOF players already, yet they need something else, so he keeps trying to conjure up scenarios where the Oil trade away a bunch OKC players (wannabe's and neverwillbes') for other team's top line talent. Not happening.
Tambellini is going to have to give up something to get something. |

He's not a top line centre, just plays there because they haven't found anyone else. That being said, he has some chemistry with the other two. |

Agreed, what I did notice last night after te first period I was hoping the Oilers didn't get double digits in GA by the end of the game. That being said the kids played so-so and still tried to make a game of it. If Eb's chance did go in last night what a finish to the game it would be. |
