Turris for a 3rd overall pick, isn't a bust? And I only said he was a bust after a Sens fan just called Rundblad overrated to make that trade look good. Just keeping things in perspective. By bring the Raycroft trade you are doing the exact same thing. Idiot.

turris is no more of a bust than kadri

and no sens fan said rundblad was overrated, that was an oiler fan. and the trade was good, both teams got what they needed.

- sensarmy_11

Kadri has never got a full shot. Turris had with Phoenix. And Kadri's ahl numbers are better than Turris. I love how Sens fans are always on Leafs threads poking fun at the Leafs for the Kessel trade. But I do try poking fun at the sens, im the bad guy, im uncivil. The Leafs get the most hate in the threads among posters and bloggers.

actually, i've been in the leaf blogs, and sens fans are among the fans who troll the kessel trade the least. try talking to fans of boston, vancouver, montreal, buffalo, etc, etc, etc. all of them troll leaf blogs WAY MORE than sens fans.

as for the turris thing, he has 70pts in 76 AHL games, which is almost exactly the same pts/game production as kadri. and turris has better NHL numbers.

i meant over a period of months. youve one shotted trolls into the last 1838281929 Clouts blogs and I used to respond with much venom but after I noticed you never responded I just assumed it was maplebud trying to avoid being noticed by mods.
- sanfordnson

Oh. No I just stopped checking for responses. I despise your blogger. That is it. I am sure you would hate our blogger if he constantly knocked down the Oilers. Like I realize the Leafs suck, but I hate when he takes shots even at our rare good players like Kessel.

Boston MTL and Sens. That is what I noticed. But I can understand Boston. Not MTL or Ottawa. Because at least the bruins had Seguin...the other teams didn't have Seguin or Kessel.

I wanted the Leafs to go after Spezza when he was coming of a sub par season. He was in constant trade rumors. I just knew he would bounce back. Ottawa is lucky to have him. Class act.

Yost was initially pissed when that deal went down, so was most of the Senators posters in that thread. Glad to see Wiercioch finally found his game too.

I think many people on here go that step too far assuming guys need to make the jump to the NHL at the age of 18 and 19, when I think 21 and 22 is a better age. I also don't consider a guy a bust unless he shows nothing in the way of handling professional hockey. Sorry Stars fans, I'm referring to a Scott Glennie here, or Preds fans Chet Pickard. Those guys are busts. Now if Kadri is still shuffling between the AHL and NHL at the age of 23 and 24....then yeah, definite bust. So far so good this season.

The Oilers had 3 first rounders that year. Two of them are no longer in the organization.

He does do it needlessly sometimes, I imagine for hits, or he just doesn't like the Leafs. I've had a hard time liking the Leafs too the last 8 years.

Now Turris has better NHL numbers after the trade to Ottawa. Anyways Brayden Schenn drafted 5th overall has about the same NHL numbers as Kadri. And he's already been traded 2 times. I love Kadri's skill. I think he will breakout this year with more playing time.

i don't think kadri is a bust, that was my point. i obviously don't think turris is a bust either.

i think people were pissed about that trade initially simply because how much rundblad had been pumped up over the previous 12 months, while the only thing we heard about turris was that he held out. once all the dust settled, and sens fans realized the player they had gotten, everyone was pretty happy.

is it possible that rundblad ends up being better than turris...sure, no doubt. however, rundblad is not what ottawa needed, they NEEDED a 2nd line center, and turris is a pretty good one.

One of them.

There were a few saying it was a bad year to have that many 1st rounders. Didn't think it would be that bad.

Although the one guy I wanted instead of Plante died, so I guess things could be worse.

People need to look at Logan Couture. He spent lots of time in the AHL before he got his first full shot with the sharks. Drafted in 2007.

That was exactly it, seeing Karlsson turn into a star, many hoped Rundblad was Karlsson 2.0. His unreal season in the SEL didn't help, but the SEL was really watered down that season, many of its top vets bolted for the KHL, while many of the kids came over here to play junior, the ahl and the NHL. I still think Rundblad is going to be a top 4 d-man, but the expectations over that SEL season were really high.
