Don't feel so bad. If Leaf fans are honest with themselves as I am, if the Leafs are in the playoff hunt till the end & even if they finish 9th in the conference but many many positive things come from the Leafs this short season, I think Leaf fans will be happy with the progress.

The oilers have been one of the most successful franchises out there and it looks likt they are trending in the right direction again, but if you want to compare them directly to the jackets you have to start the year the jackets came into the league, it's that simple.

That doesn't mean what the Oilers accomplished in the 80's means nothing, it's just irrelevent when you are comparing them to a franchise that didn't exist in the 80's.
