Yes Leafs are my #1 & the Flyers are my #2. Always need a #2 team so when your team either A) doesn't make the playoffs or B) gets eliminated early, you always have another team to root for. But make no mistake, if the Leafs play Phil in the playoffs, it's 1000% all Leafs for me.

The problem is that the really good trolls never go up against each other. I often feel like I am swatting flies, when I can be bothered.

Crazy Gillis should just get a decent draft pick from the Leafs and be happy that contract is the hell out of Vancouver and he didn't have to take Tragic Tim Connolly back with it.

I've always had a tonne of respect for the Flyer organization going back to the Bobby Clarke/Bernie Parent era. They are a no nonsense, no bullsh*t organization. A Flyer player gets out of line, they are gone ASAP. They need to fill up a hole on the team, they go out & make a deal no hesitation. Not too many teams would have the guts to trade both Richards & Carter. Love the Flyer/Leaf rivarly from Domi fighting the fat guy in the penalty box to Potvin's right hand hook on Hextall.

I kinda understand what he's saying...I felt the same way about the Flyers going after Bryz to solve a long pain in the ass goal-tending issue...Sometime things just don't work out...One thing I liked about Burke was not getting into those crazy long term contracts...

Yeah I remember the next day right here on HB, we were all going crazy with the nick name Mohammed Aulie. Someone on here even had an avatar of a boxer with Aulie's face on it. I was MORTIFIED when Burke traded him away. You never trade away a 6'6 d-man like Aulie , cause if this guy ever realizes his potential he could be a monster.

I know alot of guys think the opposite I do, that they dislike Aulie & love Ashton but if I was Burke I never would have made that trade.

It would take a person such as yourself to want to offer up the Sedins Schneider and Kesler for Gardner Hemskey .

Ya the Sabres honestly look good. They seem to have their poop together this year & very early on. Only way to go if u wanna be a lock for the playoffs especialyy in a short season.
