Does that mean that since the Montreal Canadiens haven't won the cup since Tampa & Anahiem came into the NHL & they both won 1 cup, does this mean that Tampa & Anaheim have a better history of success than the Canadiens? Problem with Gillis is that he WANTS TOO MUCH for Luongo. Can someone give him a kick in the ass & tell him he aint getting Jake Gardiner or Eberle or anybody else's young star for Lu? Gillis is proving himself day by day to Mike Milbury, not yet as far as making stupid trades but he sure matches Milbury as far as being an ignorant bastard.

Of all their youth, Eberle is hands down the best of the bench. The kid is closer to underrated than overrated.

The west is a toss up this year. So many strong teams. It's only been 2 games but the Sharks look very strong. Arguably the best top 4 defensemen in the league, offense is clicking. The Hawks always have a chance, Kings have the same team in place as last year, Wild, Avs, Stars all improved. In this short season, Van could finish anywhere from 1st to out of the playoffs. I doubt they finish first. I think they'll be either 3rd, taking the division or 4-5th place. Just what they need, a reality check before the playoffs.

Well over rated or not, I guess living in TO all my life, I've had a first hand seat for 37 years watcing the Leafs deal young players they too thought were over rated for a much older veteran & it never works. If your going to trade a young player make sure you get a young player back who you thini is just as good. Of course there is always one exception to every rule, I guess if your team is a very serious contender & a great veteran is available at the deadline like when Colorado got Bourque, mabie than & only than would u consider trading an asset but were talking a team who has a shot at the cup & needs to add that 1 piece.

Absolutely. I get why AV replaced Lu with Schneider, to win. If they came back against LA and won the cup, he would have been called a genius. He took a risk, didn't work, and ultimately put them in this brutal situation. It was the right move in a hockey sense, but not if you're going to try and trade Lu the following year.

Yes Leafs are my #1 & the Flyers are my #2. Always need a #2 team so when your team either A) doesn't make the playoffs or B) gets eliminated early, you always have another team to root for. But make no mistake, if the Leafs play Phil in the playoffs, it's 1000% all Leafs for me.
