We'd want more than Gagner. That's for sure. Especially within the division, that's crazy. - Boinker
Cool. Then he wont be coming here. |

If it takes more than Gagner, than.. Hell, it shouldn't even be Gagner..
Oilers should offer Horcoff and Petry for Luongo..

The Leafs will rue the day they take on Roberto Luongo's ridiculous contract. He is half the goalie he was. |

THIS.
Looking more and more like Vancouver needs to go out and get a goalie...because the guys they have just aren't doing it for them...
I can't say I don't hope this fall to reality continues. |

you know you have the nucks googles when:
1) you think signing garisson after one good season to a 6 year contract was a good move
2) you think you're getting a good return without taking on a bad contract for luongo (one of the "smartest" nucks fans VANTEL has commented saying that Luongo would fetch CLOWE + HAVLAT)
3) you think making fun of the leafs last 8 pathetic years will make everyone forget that the blue jackets have the same amount of cups as the canucks
4) you think that after 2 wins against the bruins you've already won the stanley cup - sensnucksnocups
OK, before you get your back up, this comment is coming unbiased from a fan of both teams.
1) Is the Garisson signing a risk, yes. If he plays up to the contract then yes, it's a good move. It's been 2 games and so far he's played pretty well. Jury is still out on whether it was a solid move or not.
2) Despite the comment made by VANTEL a while ago, most fans in Vancouver know the Canucks aren't getting a huge return for Luongo. He's certainly not getting Connolly and a 7th round pick like some leaf fans believe either.
3) The whole cup thing is funny. The only team right now that has bragging rights on the stanley cup are the Kings. That disappears when the playoffs starts. Stop living in the past man, especially during a time when you were most likely not even born yet. You make fun of the current Sens and Nucks for not winning a cup, comparing them to the Leafs. Reality check for you, the last time the Leafs won the cup, neither the Nucks or the Sens were even in the league yet. It's not a smart comparison to make when you are saying that your favorite team has gone longer without winning a cup than another team. The leafs won the cup in 67, the nucks entered into the league in 70 and the Sens in 92.
4) Being up 2 games to none certainly built up too much confidence, they lost, season over. |

On another note, anyone following the Raiders 2002 SuperBowl story that came out yesterday? Both Jerry Rice and Tim Brown accusing the coach of throwing the game.. That's messed up.... |

My bet is on Washington the more I think about it, he's their missing piece. Lu, as has been reported, won't go to Toronto, doesn't want to play for a lottery team. - LeftCoaster
washington's missing piece? i think their missing about 10 pieces lol. not even close to a contender. |

They don't seem as balanced as in years past. Watching the game last night (seeing Brouwer and Ladd), I couldn't help but think how many cups the Hawks would have won if they were able to keep the team together. That was a complete team. |

Hold on, I'll try that one on EA NHL '13. Nope, got laughed at.
No excuse for that one. Eberle is worth more than Lu when he was playing in Florida. That kid is amazing. |

I'm confused. Do you like the Penguins make more than you hate the Leafs? All I ever read from you are posts bashing the Leafs. I mean, look at your avatar. You'd think that you would have something Pittsburgh related, not Toronto related.
Seriously though. I appreciate that all teams have their fans. But when you spend more time and effort bashing a team you hate than supporting the team you love that says something about you as a fan and a person. - Kinger34

Ya I'm new but I've been reading this site for years (from work) so i never bothered to sign up til today...Beatle John is right. If you want to compare Tor to Van you should start when Van joined the league. Do that and there is no comparison as to which franchise has been more successful.
Tor has won some cups but they should only be mentioned when comparing Tor with other original 6 teams...apples to apples. - PopCanBong
LOL so if you want to compare the oilers with the blue jackets, you can only compare them when the blue jackets came in? i guess by your logic the oilers are as successful as the blue jackets AHAHAHAHA i just owned your point nice try ahahahahah |
