This argument reminds me of that classic south park episode.
I aint ya Friend, buddy.... I aint ya buddy, pal..... I aint ya pal, Friend...... - WayneZ
the real problem here is that too many people have guns. there needs to be more gun regulation especially with respect to automatic and semi-automatic weapons as well as ammunition sales. |

From an outsider, both prospect pools are quite bad. And considering how terrible the Leafs have been for the last decade, they don't really have an excuse. Burke is the man. - woopstash
you dont think the leafs have a good prospect pool? i like the idea of riely. kadri has looked good so far. lupul is decent. gardiner is good. kessel is a great player. jvr could be a great player. grabovski is ok. these guys will be leafs for years to come. |

Thanks for the laughs. You're quite the simpleton. Easiest guy to get a reaction from here by far. If you weren't so sensitive you wouldn't run into this feeling of frustration and anger that you apparently suffer from all the time.
Gooooo Leafs! Deepest prospect pool in the league.
Have a good one. Unless you count on spending a few more hours wasting away infront of your computer screen. - woopstash

I like Rielly. He has a lot of potential.
But given how bad the Leafs have been for so long, and the lack of high end prospects, something doesn't add up. The Kessel trade was such a mistake. They would have had one of the deepest prospect pools in the league had they not made that trade. |

I don't know too much about the Nucks prospects but they don't really have any names that stand out. Other than Schroeder. But he's getting a bit old to be a prospect. |

It's kinda surprising that so many feel Vancity is "screwed" with their current cap situation.
The only pending RFA's that need raises next year are Weise, Tanev, and Schroeder. Qualifying them ensures they are Canuck property.
Pending UFA's are Malhotra,Raymond,Higgins,Lapierre,Ebbett,Volpatti,Alberts,Barker,Vandermeer
I only see Higgins and Lapierre returning, Raymond will be a part of any trade of Schneider or Luongo or not re-signed. Malhotra will likely retire due to his eye condition (feel quite badly for him) but that is the reality. Only D I see them bringing back is Barker if he plays well enough as a 5/6 D man. Connaughton or Corrado will play next year as well. Alberts / Vandermeer are expendable.
So at the start of all this, the Canucks currently have 3.9 Million in cap space next year.
Ballard will be bought out or traded.....add 4.2 million
Luongo/Schnedier trade ...... add 4.0 or 5.3 Million
So all told Canucks will have 12.1 or 13.4 Million in cap space next year. Kinda surprising when you do your research isnt it???

speaking of research.. pretty sure kassian is RFA next year.
you're mentality is very similiar to what we deal with as leaf fans.
you assume that luongo will be traded and it will automatically clear up 5.3 million in cap space.. you assume that ballard will be bought out. 4.2 million extra.
you don't see a cap hit from ballards buy out? you don't see any salary having to come back in any kind of luongo trade?
it's easy just to assume that these players will be magically gone, and poof.. so will any cap associated to them. |

I'd see them trading Schneider if they can't trade Luongo. Only two buy outs for this CBA....I'm betting only one gets used and it will be Booth or Ballard. |
