The Leafs have made horrible trading and drafting choices over the years... a lot of years. They repeatedly sold the future for a slim-to-none chance at the present.

Canucks = screwed with Luongo/Schneider = No Cups, Ever = quickly closing window = a prospect pool as shallow as the gene pool in Vancouver.

the sad part is, it only turned to bashing the "what could have been" angle for the leafs, after a few failed attempts at reasoning why the canucks prospect pool is just as good as the leafs if not better.

oh.. there was a kicker in there as to us not having much more in rielly than they have in corrado to. there was a schroeder better than frattin reference in there to.

my opinion of prospects is not so off the opinion of many professional evaluators. toronto's prospect group is deep, but not so much for elite talent outside of gardiner and rielly..

vancouvers is neither deep, or talent heavy. one might say it's thin, and talentless. those are statements echo'd by media outlets league wide.

10 year contracts arent tradeable unless the off loading GM makes them an irresistible offer.
