A Luongo trade within division is unlikely however #Stars #Flyers have kept talks low key and I'm told the deal in place is with #Stars

Umm, no, I don't think so. Landeskog is a huge force out there. I'm not going to go as far as saying he would have won it had Nugent Hopkins played a full season anyway, but I'm saying I'm not sure he wouldn't have either. It would have made it a good race.
Esplen is half right on this one. Landeskog has WAY more impact on a game than points. He's a complete player, and personally, I would easily rather have him on my team than RNH. Even with the difference in points, which isn't as much as you guys seem to want to think. - prock
that proves my point of how little people now about just how good of a 2way player the Nuge is |

Pass it to Bulis @passittobulis
And there it is. Canucks recall Jordan Schroeder. He's got big shoes to fill. Actually, wait, Ebbett's shoes are pretty small. - AlexF
I said it from the beginning. It was Vanermeer or Schroeder not Ebbett or Schroeder...
Classic AV.

I think the reasons are pretty clear, Vancouver is right up against the cap and Gilman is doing what he can to create every bit of extra space possible, even if it is two days at a time. |

More likely he hasn't signed yet beause his girlfriend got into a car accident and now has been diagnosed with leukemia.
And although he's never actually met her, he's pretty torn up inside about it. - Atomic Wedgie
That was a hoax by the way... perpetrated by his friend. |

So he signed Vandermeer and Cam Barker to create cap space? |

It appears Ben Eager got the worse of his fight against Zack Kassian Sunday night. The Oilers tough guy didn’t practise Monday and will be assessed today to see if he can take the ice tonight against the San Jose Sharks for the Oilers’ home opener. The Edmonton Journal reports that Eager left Rogers Arena with “swelling around his eye and nose.”

Nieuwendyk played with Lu in Florida
Morrow played with Lu internationally

They will still carry 23 players... No "prospect" makes less than Barker and Vandermeer with Joslin being the same as Barker and more than Vandermeer.
Edit - so yes, they signed Vandermeer and Barker to create cap space. |

Ahhhh, unless Lehtonen is "the player" that the mystery team needs to "do something with first". Lehtonen to Toronto for Rielly, Bozak and a first... |

Exactly. Unless there is a 3 way that would send Lehtonen to Philly. |

Don't shoot the messenger. Truth is, non of us know anything about the inner workings of any of this...but it's fun to speculate like the media. |

Lehtonen just got a 5 year deal with a cap hit of $5.9M, as you mentioned his injury troubles so who is going to take him and for what? Can't see this happening.

Well Weise was flying, that bone crushing hit on Schultz on the end boards, and the other time he just about broke his own neck when he fell into the boards. |

Right. You're such a genius that you see what the rest of the world doesn't.
Look, there is literally nothing that Landeskog doesn't do well. Outside of points, there is nothing in the game of hockey that Nugent Hopkins does as well as Landeskog. Nothing. |
