Hey, a lot of Habs fan overvalue their players but there is proportionally as much fans from other teams that know nothing about hockey.

4M for subban too much? are you franking kidding me?
No one is saying he's a top D in the league. Does he have the potential? No question. is he there yet? no.
BUT Subban would be in the top 3 D of ANY team in the NHL.
Say what you want about his ego but he is sure as hell better than a lot of D in the league and all 30 GMs would take him on their team anyday (because unlike some people who post here, they know how to value the pros and cons of players).

So I have no problem benching Eller to get him to wake up. Is Moen next because the only forwards that were as bad as Eller on Saturday were Moen and Desharnais and the latter will definitely be given some time to get the line back on track. Guess it depends what this new third line (which I'm thoroughly intrigued by) can really bring to the table...

Is the same message that Eller is getting not being delivered to Kaberle because Therrien is simply waiting for Subban to sign to send Kaberle to the press box permanently? Otherwise, why is he not getting the butt-slivers à la Eller?

He doesn't even have the excuse of not having played yet... at least Gorges can say he's getting the rust out of his game. What's Kaberle's excuse?

Oh, and any chance we can see Diaz-Markov on the PP? This would be far more productive than the short sticked "spaghetti mou" imo.

I kinda like Lars Eller. He seems like a nice enough fellow and I don't think his effort can be faulted but the reality is that the team isn't that much better or worse based on his presence in the lineup so it's really not a big deal.

Some very good points made. However, Marty decided that Eller is the worst and was the worst in game 1 and then his lacky _Nay_ concurred. I apologize, but there is nothing you can do to change this.
