Per Bob McKenzie, Red Wings will sign Kent Huskins to a one year deal today
- Jsaquella

No doubt to replace Colaiacovo. I'm shocked he's injured. Guy is made of granite. Was pretty funny people wanted the Flyers to sign this pretzel.

Seriously?

Both Schenns, Simmonds, Hartnell, Talbot, Rinaldo, Coburn, Grossmann, Meszy, G...

- jak521

Physicality is not the teams issue. Biggest problem has been team speed and special teams. Specialty teams will get figured out as the season progresses. Team speed on the other hand I don't know. The defense is dreadfully slow. Kimmo was slow all year last year, Grossmann looks like a statue, and Foster is... well Foster. The forwards are modestly quick on the forcheck. It's a concern.

Per several of the beat guys, the lines are juggled at practice.

Briere is skating with Shelley and Sestito. No Foster at skate, no reason given yet

Only possible explanation: Traded to Habs for Subban.

I was open to it, for real cheap. The 4 periods he was healthy he played well for the Wings

I saw him get plastered to the boards and I immediately said no way he's getting up from that. Sure enough he barely made it off the ice. He's made of glass.

have we fired stevens and traded carter yet?

Jesus man...we haven't even had sheet cake or rearranged locker stalls yet...have some patience. []

By the way...anyone need an almost 4 year old? Mine said something about liking the Penguins while he was watching the game with me on Saturday...he was wearing his Flyers hat, but still... []
-lexingtonflyer

i have all the patience in the world. i've been a fan of this team since 1980. an 0-2 start is nothing. just felt like getting into mid-season form.

do you want a 3 year old and a 20 month old? they're both making me insane.

That sucks that Foster appears to be injured. He looked pretty decent the first couple of games. Hopefully it's something minor.

Perhaps a maintenance day. Who knows. Hard to imagine a guy would need a maintenance day two games into the season after a day off yesterday.

I assume they're just switching him out so he doesn't get too bumped up, but with the injury curse on our blueline who knows.

One beat guy is saying maint day, another is speculating injury...you know, instead of asking questions and doing their job.
