C'mon Bruce........ name me a trade where Burke got fleeced? He does the fleecing. By trade I mean players for players. Not picks. - faceto27
i didnt say he would of gotten fleeced.
i am trying to say that nonis and management were the ones who didnt want luongo, not the other way around |

I'm not even sure what Gillis even thinks he needs ....prospects and cap space ...or is he looking for real bodies and contracts?
We should ask Scooby - he's got all the answers. - The Law
I'm guessing he needs Schnieder to put together two decent games before he can trade Lu. |

Nonnis has been Burke's right hand man forever........ doubt that Nonnis would have back stabbed Burke. Essentially what your saying is that Nonnis would have done so. |

hey it makes you wonder.. if it were because he refused to trade for vet players why has nonis done the exact opposite?
starting to think that maybe it was burke who wanted to sell the farm - Dozzer
Burke's abrupt departure had nothing to do with Luongo. |

A little more than that, but coming along nicely. I can get through that first section. Not perfectly by any stretch, I have been playing for under a month. But it is fun, everyday gets a little easier. |

no more quick fixes. i kind of wonder if maybe Burke was the one pushing for the quick fix now.. and Nonis and ownership were saying lets just stay the course...... - Dozzer
We are not out of the Luongo woods yet. I won't be happy until he is traded elsewhere.
Burke firing was personal.

you need to actually read my posts.
i said that Nonis and MLSE management were against picking up Luongo
Burke was for it.
Burke in his blustery way rubbed ownership the wrong way (probably by saying he was the guy in charge yada yada yada)
ownership says (frank) you burke and fires him. replaces him with Nonis who is as familiar with the franchise as anyone. nonis didnt back stab, he just disagreed with Burke.. and then the chips fell where they may.
why else do you think burke isnt involved with hockey ops? ownership doesnt want his opinion influencing nonis.. period. |

jesus (frank).. i am only using it as an example of how internal disagreements would of gone done.
burke wanted one thing, nonis another, management sided with nonis, burke got pissed and voiced his displeasure. ownership fires him because he didnt respect their authority, nonis is next in line. |

The most overplayed stuff is that crap they call music with autotune nowadays. - LeafMan
Some nights would be a good song if not for that 30 second autotune abomination right in the middle of it.
Who the (frank) did that and why? |
