"The notion that we were asking for too much was floated in the Toronto media by a team that was extremely interested in acquiring Roberto and were using every means possible to try and force us to do something that we didn't think was right. That's nothing new in this business and it's not the type of pressure that I'm going to succumb too."

Minestrone is vegetarian. Like vegetable soup infused with pasta.

Italian Wedding soup has meat. Meatballs to be specific.

- systemtool

Actually you will find Minestrone made with bacon, pieces of pork and or chicken, trust me on this one.

I have had so many variations of Italian soup during my trips to Italy, every time I asked the family what kind it is, "it's Minestrone" never close to the same wherever I went, so basically it is one soup with hundreds of combinations, lol.

lol LM.. minestrone is a generic term for soup

zuppa: soup
minestra: soup, soup course, cream soup
brodo: broth, stock, soup, bouillon

I guess its like you said, everyone makes it different. My mom or wife use either pork or beef in balls in the wedding soup.

you could add meat to just about any tomato based soup. but its meant to be a vegetable and pasta soup.

Did the Leafs deny they were really interested in acquiring Luongo?

this is a curious notion.. subban is trying to make the habs desperate and sign him to more than they want.. the new habs GM is looking to prove he wont be pushed around

Bergevin should just say to Subban "fine, sit for the year, let me know when you're ready to talk business, and no, i'm not trading you"

bet subban signs in a big hurry then

Its a 48 game season. I wouldnt be shocked if Subban waited him out or forced him into a trade or the terms he wants. Its only a matter of time until the fans turn on one of the two sides and force the situation.

While I commend Bergevin for taking a stand on salaries, but the future of your teams core is not the guy you want to make an example out of.

Then how can you be so sure they weren't indeed very interested in him?

If it was false, surely Nonis would have said "We have no interest in Luongo, the reports are false, Gillis is a liar".

But, he didn't say that... what does that tell you?
