Not really. Really like that jvr is showing skill to get chances, he's just not shooting accurately right not which I hope/think changes with timing.

Schenn has been rather aweful so far for Philly

I guess it will just come down to patience with us now.

Not you, the announcers kept saying it. Don't blame you for believing what they say.

He definitely played like it was he third ever game...not horribly, but he won't be replacing Franson or Komisarek unfortunately.

No Leaf fan who has watched him play is surprised by this

Nonis is probably not even returning his calls right now...there are a lot of goalies that are struggling out of the gate this year, even elite ones. Teams aren't going to be coerced into a panic move by Gillis before they truly see what they have. For Vancouver, it may be too late to fix other holes that have emerged for them.
- p_zub

Rumors are nonis likes bernier more and la needs d with Greene out.

I don't know that we need to do anything in the crease right now though.

That 5-on-3 was terrible. They moved way to slow.... Tried to group too close and made it easier to defend. Got to spread out and make quick passes to open seams. That didn't happen. Needs a lot of work.

The PP will be better once the QB gets back in the line up

I hope they trade Lu. That way when Schnieder sucks, they have no good backup

JVR has been out for about a year. He needs a few more games to get his timing right.

he wont get one of them

I know. Merely a jab at Gillis thinking he's getting Kadri, Gardiner, and a 1st from us for the geriatric greaseball.

I guess. I don't think he was terrible. He skated better than I thought, defended really well...... But every time he got the but he looked scared.

He's made some nice plays, showed nice skills but hasn't been able to finish ( by finish I mean hit the net) looks a bit off timing.

super early, jvr is in the right spot, he needs to hit the net, (like the rest of the team).

I don't mean to sound like a Richard, but that's what Flyers fans were complaining about since day 1.

Stfu Richard.

I guess it's fair then, Philly fans complaining how slow Schenn is?

if were 20 games in and hes missing this much, then yeah, but 2 games in after a year and a half off, il give him some credit, he looked decent out there.

Side note: Completely forgot Holzer was out there last night. Didn't hear his name once.

Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

He always looks decent. But he's a 2nd overall pick. I think most expected him to be more than just decent.

No, Lack would back him up and show case in the playoffs forcing them, Vancouver, to trade another good goalie for nothing.

Schenn could still end up being a very solid defensive Dmen. Let's not kid ourselves and ignore that he had flashes of excellence while in Toronto.
