I think that Columbus has a pretty strong defense. I don't see a place for Franson going forward. Their powerplay defencemen are Jack Johnson and James Wisnewski. Not shabby. Add the second overall pick and you can see that they're on the way up. A very difficult team to play against and they will not be in the basement this year.

they definitely have a well rounded defence. should be a fun team to watch when murray becomes full time.

don't know what i'd be willing to give up for jenner. at the end of the day, sandpaper isn't to tough to find for the third line... in my opinion. the leafs need a guy with his spunk that can limit liberties on our top 6 forwards, and put the puck in the net to.

maybe we'll get lucky and biggs will turn out to be that guy. it's a long shot though..

Jenner could be a 4th line pug or he could be another Lucic. I'd like to take a chance at getting a player like that. I just don't see a spot on this team for Frattin and I like him, as a hockey player. He's too much like a MacArthur type player. There is nothing wrong with a MacArthur, with a little more speed, but you have to give something to get something. I think Columbus is closer to making the playoffs then we are, right now. Trade makes sense for Columbus, if they're that close. Calgary is 15th in the west this year, as the Habs are, in the east.

i wouldn't mind taking the chance either, i don't think frattin is going to seal the deal. columbus is bound to want some form of proven nhl talent for him. i like frattin's upside, but proven at the nhl level he is not.

i like frattin to, but i agree.. he's becoming expendable. if there's any kind of value there the leafs should utilize it. think franson and macarthur are expendable to. wonder if there's some kind of package there that can find a goaltender..

They're not that close. RJ Umberger/Vaclav Prospal are key cogs in their top 6. Columbus is getting another lotto pick.

After Alex Jones interview on piers morgan. I made a comment on youtube about not understanding why it's such a bad thing to have gun control laws for assault rifles. They are designed to rip people apart.

Within 10 minutes I had 30 replies in my email calling me every name in the book.

And obviously I don't think all Americans are like that. Just the ones from the Southern red states. lol

Shows how short sighted Burke was, when he drafted. He took Tyler Biggs in the late first round, the same year Jenner was taken in the 2nd round. We needed goaltending and he didn't even consider Bobrovsky. Philly are totally anal, when it comes to nurturing their young goalies. They just either ruin them or trade them. On the MacArthur trade instead, I would make that trade. It would make room for JVR on the 2nd line and putting Frattin with Kadri may pay bigger dividends, since Frattin is a better skater then JVR. I'm really disappointed with Kulimen, so far this year. The winner was his fault, being so unaware of what he was doing, when he was trying to stickhandle while standing still. He also was the cause of the Habs only goal, in the first game. I think it's time for him to be demoted to the third line and JVR promoted.

remember that time burke backed down off including kulemin in a deal for mike richards? ugh.

the getting by on chemistry days have passed for that line. time to split it up.

JVR kadri kessel
lupul grabovski komarov
macarthur bozak kulemin

there's a few ways to try it out, but i like the idea of putting the JVR kadri combo with kessel. reunite kessel lupul bozak on the powerplay.

kulemin definitely needs some new linemates, no doubt. i think putting lupul on the other wing with him, and having JVR jump up to the top line might make for some positives. i like what i've seen out of JVR with kadri though.

impressed with the coaching. the kadri line deserved more icetime tonight, and they we're up 4ish minutes from the montreal game. kadri himself was up 6 minutes. these are things we would have never seen in the wilson era.

there's some expendables there.. with mac, franson for sure. i'd like to see frattin come up as the result of some of these extra's being packaged into a deal.

hard to say what a combo like that is worth though. maybe a brian elliot + mid round pick type deal? meh..
