Tough one.
I'd say, Fraser>Holzer tonight.
Which means Fraser stays when Gardiner is back.
Then him and Komisarek can go on a 5 game rotation. - Leafland
I'd take Komisarek over Fraser any day.
Yeah, he's overpaid, as was pointed out above, but that's not going to change. He still has far more capacity to become a regular, productive NHLer than Fraser.
Ron Wilson wouldn't know what to do with a shutdown defenseman to save his life.
We need some size and toughness along the boards. Proposed trade:
Boone Jenner From Columbus to Toronto
Matt Frattin From Toronto to Columbus
Discuss or Disgust? - PrinceLH
i like it. toronto's top 6 has lacked toughness and heart for years. if jenner can grow into the 30ish power forward type, he'd be a perfect missing piece.
i see no reasoning as to why columbus would want to part with him though.

I see no reason why they would take frattin for him...
i'd comment, but you'd have to explain why Columbus would trade Jenner right now? - mykokes
Been watching their games and looking at the makeup of their team. They have lots of size and grit, but lack a good goal scorer. Jenner may be scoring a bunch in junior, as a 19 year old, but will it transfer to the NHL game? We need the toughness, along the wall. One more goal scorer for Columbus and they may be on the cusp of making the playoffs. The deals they did with the Rangers and Ottawa, have made them hard to play against. First two games, both shootouts. Scoring is their problem. Bobrovsky is playing well enough to get them to the playoffs. Enjoy Bryz, Philly!!
Ballsy move for an OHLer. I don't want him if thats the case....though...seriously, I doubt it is. - mykokes
He already plays with Tyler Biggs, so it might be an opportunity to unite them in the NHL. The Leafs have some decent forwards, but their size isn't cutting it. We need a good third line with a heavy grinding effect. Our third line is like a poor man's 2nd line.
wonder if they're interested in franson. - joel878
I think that Columbus has a pretty strong defense. I don't see a place for Franson going forward. Their powerplay defencemen are Jack Johnson and James Wisnewski. Not shabby. Add the second overall pick and you can see that they're on the way up. A very difficult team to play against and they will not be in the basement this year.

this group definitely needs a power forward in it's top 6 to. to watch bozak trying to pull a goof like kaleta off of kessell is painful. when grabovski has more heart than anyone else in your top 6, there's need for improvement.
