He seems too slow for the NHL game; fine with him as a call-up with injuries though as a 6/7 guy. - gravyface
i drank an entire beer waiting for him to actually start that fight lol |

Did you see him against Montreal? He was not quite as good tonight. Still patient with the luck though, - Leafland
I saw about half of that game
I thought he looked strong for his first game |

Komisarek for Holzer?
No problem there.
But keeping Franson out of the line-up for Fraser?
No chance. - Two_For_Truth
To get into Randy's good graces, Franson will have to play tougher than he has in the past. Randy won't put up with half hearted efforts. He's a big boy so there's no excuse to not use it. If he doesn't do that, I can see him being in the doghouse all over again. |

okay, do you think we will be 2-1 or 1-2 after wednesday?
i think we will be lucky to head into saturday at .500 - Dozzer
the pens are scary, but i would play them all day instead of boston, not going off any stats here but we seem to do ok against fleury. my bold predictions for the month are we win the next 2, but then drop 3 to finish the season 1 game under .500 |

He did nothing for me...and man the hate I have right now for Gunnarson.....wtf was his problem tonight? The second line stunk for the first two periods, wasn't till Kulemin remembered how to use his body during his puck possession that I actually liked that line. |

Kostka, way too many minutes, but no he's not Jeff Finger. I see more a poor man's Rafalski/Nathan Dempsey type story. - mykokes
Okay...
No.
He's nowhere near Brian Rafalski. Get that out of your head immediately.
Nathan Dempsey? 260 career games.
Jeff Finger? 199 career games.
Sure. He's the next Nathan Dempsey. |

He definitely played allright.
Gunnarsson made him look good though, holzer looked not so NHL ready either.
I'm fine with what kostka brings.. But in a 5-6 role. Knowing he can play 27 minutes a night when needed and not get absolutely shredded is a good thing. |

And it was with the wrong guy.
The fact that Kaleta left that game on his skates and not a stretcher speaks volumes of this team's toughness. You just have to send a message once or twice. That's it. The league learns quickly what poop flies and what doesn't fly around here.
Like I said, if that's Seguin on the ice getting hit, Lucic kills Vanek and that's the end of it. |

He looked ok physically against MTL, but they're midgets. Lots of a McCabe-esque blunders though and that's what put him in the doghouse.
Who knows, maybe he's just like so many guys who have a decent year playing sheltered minutes in a dead market. |

I'm not sold on Scrivens, way too nerve racking having him in goal, I think I'd rather roll with Reimer... |

i really dont think we will take the pens. the leafs cant even get thier supposed strength, the offense, going.
1.5 goals per game aint gonna get you very far.. especially when a rookie (well first full season) has 2 of the 3 goals. |

Observations:
Gunnarson, wtf, poop game. I hate you.
5 on 3's.....ummm, where the (frank) was Kadri? That's his (frank)ing bread and butter.
Kostka, way too many minutes, but no he's not Jeff Finger. I see more a poor man's Rafalski/Nathan Dempsey type story.
JVR with Kadri......somethings not right there, but give it sometime i guess
Top two lines were relied on too heavily in the 2nd period. 3rd line probably should've hit the ice more in that period, I mean when I see Kessels line, followed by Grabo's line, a goal, then Kessel's line and the Grabo's line on again, I'm wondering where's my man crush? WHERES KADRI!
Seriously though, oh, what was my last complaint...oh wait, wasn't a complaint....4th line was solid. Loved the jump they had, even though they generated no offense...ps. Aucoin with a point today for the Islanders. - mykokes
I know I'll get poop on for this but I've never been a fan of Gunnerson. Doesn't play nearly tough enough and his offensive skills aren't good enough to warrant him being as soft as a Lidstrom. Moves the puck half decent I guess
