This is one of those examples where I think a rule change would make the game more interesting. A team in Toronto's position gets a PP but are in essence penalized with a shortened power play because of the time. They should get the full PP like they would at the end of any other period. If they tie the game goes on. If they don't score the game is over.
Its just an idea.
