Jesus, the kid has eaten minutes up, put up points and played solid solid hockey. He's a solid 2-3 guy with the potential to improve...but because he wears a zoot suit and a fedora he's all flash?
- Pie

He's eaten up minutes because there were no other options available.
He played solid hockey.

Not just 5 million (or even 6) a season solid imho.

I think Galchenyuk looked good. No fantasy plays but no mistakes. Good wristshot to the net. Was hard for him since Plekanec and Gionta were far from playing good hockey. Can't expect him to be the leader on this line...

what is your 3rd favourite team?

Don't really have one though I think I'd most want to see the Jets win the cup

Journal de Montreal had a very telling graph in their Sunday edition. they highlighted the spot on the ice where each shot from each team came from. Leafs highlights were bunched around the net/high slot. Habs were all from the perimeter. one came from inside their own blue line, and one from centre ice. usually when you're shooting from the perimeter/too scared to go to the middle of the ice, you pile up 30-35 shots. so to play such perimeter hockeym have 5 power plays and come up with 22 shots is awful.

everyone talks about how the Habs owned the third. they had 7 (frank)ing shots.

he ate up those minutes on a team that couldn't score with a toothless hooker and managed to be a plus player. its one thing to eat up minutes and not put up numbers. but he ate those minutes and ate them well.

let me ask you guys something:

If Subban was asking for five years at five M, is that unreasonable?

- EricEngels

There is no way to have the (frank)ing peace with that team, is there?

There's always has to be something wrong

Markov's knee, PK's contract...

...and yes, it is unreasonable. PK is good, but I miss the days when young players knew their places and when to shut the (frank) up and play.

they didn't owned anything, they sort of waked up for the last 5 minutes of the game.

As they always do when they trail by a goal.

And they usually fall apart when they lead by one.

When did the referees start calling snowing the goalie as a penalty? I mean, I know it's "unsportsmanlike", but how many times does it happen without a second thought? Calling that on a late whistle was pretty bad. Looks like the refs have a bit of rust to work out too.
