id have no hesitation to give him 6-7 years/5 million. but if hes asking for more than 5M on a long term deal...
- scotch_tape

30M for 6 years sounds "OK".

Im jsut not sure both sides want to commit that long... but yes I'd do it

I'm sorry H2O, he's not proven enough to warrant that kind of money.

i think the Habs and Avs and Stars are feeling heat on this one. the league was obviously not happy with these long-term post entry-level deals and so it's not surprising that the well seem to have dried up.

Fair deal for both sides, i don't see PK agreeing on those terms though.

Long term maybe...

3.5 and add a M per year....for the next years for a 6 year contract...

I agree he hasn't proven enough... yet he's skilled and eats up top pair minutes...

I would prefer 2 years at around 7,5M ... then you give him the big deal.

Habs have to re-sign PK if they want to be a playoff team this year at all.

Did you not watch the game? Ishaving PK really going to solve the fact the team is a disaster?

Same old, same old hey. They are picking up exactly where they left us last year.
As Pacioretty showed us last night. If you are looking for the Montreal Canadiens, look in the "we got our money, who cares about the rest" box.
Example: Cole. we gave a nice four year contract but hey why botter.

there is not a player in this league who will singlehandedly make this team a playoff team.
