It's interesting how the NHL works in situations like this. Bowman realizes the Flames are the dregs of NHL society right now and has the opportunity to claim one of the 2 goalies Feaster put on waivers last week but doesn't. A few days later he gives Feaster a draft pick for Karlsson.

So is there anything to read into this? Like maybe Stan telling him he"ll try to help him out where he can if something comes up later in the season but would like first crack at Kiprusoff at the deadline if the Flames are out of it?

Felt like he and Feaster worked something similar on Morrison as well, don't remember the particulars. Interesting, Rick, but not sure if it ladders up to Kipper . . .

Great Guy and knows his Hockey

I have my wish in the Karralson trade

Despite support for Emery from some people I suspect there is more to all this than just the game on Sunday

Remember all the controversy in Ottawa with this guy ?

You want slow you named the wrong guy and that guy is Olsen. How someone who seems to have good lateral speed can be so slow in straight line speed is a mystery. The kid has some talent but he should definately be used in a trade since John's seems to be a better version of what Olsen will never become

IMHO

Happy to have this Hawks banter again that exclude words like lockout and names like Fehr and Bettman.

Here's my take on the early look on the Hawks as well. Give 'er a read and let me know your thoughts:

I like the piece although didn't sense a finger was pointed at Haviland.

One thing a head coach does is dictate ice time and style of play that is not a job of an assisitant...
