1 goal allowed...should of been disallowed. Rule states a player can not push a goaltenders equipment to score a goal, plus a hockey stop is still a kick. - Glak18
Whine.
I didn't see it hit the stick, but it sure was not an illegal, distinct kicking motion. Hodgson was stopping and puck glanced off a skate that was firmly planted on the ice.
Flyers were off their game 2 days now. Sour grapes calling the refs the killer of this.
Hodgson looked like the best player on the ice today. He was flying out there. Great on teh backcheck too. I really like that. - ImThatGuy
I noticed Ott all over the ice too- no surprise
Liked what I saw from Hecht- kinda surprised
Overall, nice game, played like a team
Stafford showed he wants to keep that "A"
Shame on Vanek for spoiling Grigorenko's debu - sanfordnson
Hahaha, no shame in Grigorenko's game today. His nice hands and skating drew a powerplay for us, and he also had that nasty behind the back pass to Ott who barely missed. Once Leino gets on that line he'll get better opportunities. And also to everyone on here the past few weeks saying Hodgson couldnt shouder the 1st line center load..... here you go. That was our best line all night. Hodgson deserves a star for this game. Outstanding game in general. Though Myers looked sloppy most game he made up for it with that clutch goal. On to Toronto, cannot wait.

Hodgson looked good. Good on the draw too. Ennis looked speedy but small. Foligno looked like a beast the first half of the 1st period and then I didn't notice him until the drive to the net..
D didn't look too bad outside of Sekera. Giroux ate him up on that one cycle in the corner but he didn't play very strong at all from what I saw. Good contract or not I still don't see any hunger or emotion out of Sekera. I would have no problem moving him out...
That said, it's only a matter of time before a D man gets hurt and you'll need the depth.

To the Flyers fan that said a hockey stop is still a kicking motion you need to understand the rule better because without a distinct kicking motion a puck can go off the skate.
From a flyers perspective.
1. Dead legs were fairly obvious over the 3 period.
2. Bryz played solid, not sure what he could have done on any of the goals but I am sure that other Flyers fans, 2Real, will blame him for everything.
3. That Giroux shot was a great shot and Im not sure any goalie could have saved it.
4. The Flyers had 2 goals disallowed that you could make a case should have been allowed.
5. Dont really think the Hartnell interference on Miller was a legit call given the fact that Myers hit him into Miller..
No point in crying about it though, it's a long season..uh wait, not its not =(
While the Flyers first disallowed goal should have counted, the second one, didnt COMPLETELY cross the goal line even after the whistle blew. It looked as if it stopped right on the line.
They are very weak on the back end and Vanek was a one man wrecking crew in exposing them.
It is more than the Flyers not being able to defend, their D cannot support the rush and as everyone improves on the early season the Flyers D will become even more vulnerable,
