Absolutely does, I see a lot of positives going forward

My one negative is that I think Leo needs to be moved I think he was awful today. I'd rather see Pardy,Brennan,McNabb playing in his spot.

Leo was awful, he needs to be moved. I didn't think Myers played very well either. Vanek and Hodge were great today. But all in all, a good start. Busy week on the schedule.

Outside of a good bounce off his shot in the 3rd period Myers was a tire fire.

Ehrhoff made bonehead plays today. Was horrible in his end and was not seen on the PK. 57 was a train wreck offensivly but d wise he played fine.

Completely incorrect.

And I did not see that much of an improvement in Hodgson's skating. He still looked slow with a short, choppy stride. He got caught from behind multiple times throughout the game due to this. Cant believe he didnt come up with a better scoring chance when he got sprung on that mini breakaway.

Anyone objective would say that Myers was brutal for 40 minutes. I'm the biggest Myers fan in the world but he was lost through 40. 3v1 is one example offensively and in his own zone, he got knocked off the puck too easily.

He can't play with Regehr. Regehr looks like Rivet. I expect to see Sekera with Myers very soon.

The whole team was out of sync on the rush in the first 40, hence the only goals being on the PP. Our Defense played pretty well in the 3rd.

I think everyone needs to keep in mind that this was the first game after a 6 day training camp and no preseason. Of course guys looked rusty; most of them haven't played in months! The Flyers looked pretty bad in the 3rd as well. Did anyone watch that turd of a game in Montreal last night?

As much crap as Sekera gets, I thought his skating was fantastic all night and he was one of our better defensemen. Leopold and Regehr were very bad. Myers looked lost most of the night, but made some great plays with his reach in the defensive zone. I thought Sulzer and Ehrhoff were our best d pairing by far. It's going to take some time for guys across the league to get the cobwebs out. I am willing to give them a pass for any sloppy play for about the first week of the season.

1 goal allowed...should of been disallowed. Rule states a player can not push a goaltenders equipment to score a goal, plus a hockey stop is still a kick.

1st game of the year. we have 4 more till we need to make a decision. with that being said.......leopold looked expendable but it could have just been an off game. he wasnt awful or anything like that he just wasnt outstanding. on a side note...im not really following all the regher hate, he made some nasty plays on the post that saved a goal or 2. yes he had a few bonehead plays with the puck (nothing costly) just like everyone else in the NHL.
