Wait, what did Gillis do now? Or are you referring to the interview with TSN a while back?

Yeah that.

The Vancouver Sun just put up a poll on who should start. Everyone should go there and vote for Luongo just for the laugh. When I typed this it was split 50/50 but there were only like 20 votes.

Meanwhile, Canucks GM Mike Gillis is facing pressure from Vancouver fans and pundits to move Luongo to improve the club’s depth, especially with second-line center Ryan Kesler and left winger David Booth sidelined by injuries.

Gillis’s critics are second-guessing him for not moving Luongo prior to the lockout, accusing him of setting too high a price for the netminder.

He responded by blaming “a team that was extremely interested in acquiring Roberto” using “every means possible” – including the Toronto media – to force him into making a deal he didn’t feel was right.

It’s not difficult to guess what team Gillis was referring to, though it’s unknown if he was talking about its current GM or its former one.

Gillis should be fined for tampering!!!

Kostka is going to be a lock on the blueline.. the minutes given PLUS carlyle seems to love him.

i am actually surprised he isnt projected to be playing with Dion again tonight.

Bye bye Franson, buy out Komi (if Fraser and Holzer show they are capable)

i'm calling it now

- Dozzer

Agree on all counts there, A top 6 spot is Kostka's to loose and franson looks on the bubble.
the projected pairings look odd Fraser and holzer together? seem too slow for an effective NHL pairing
my guess JML ends up with Fraser and Kostka or gunnar play with holzer.
Gardiner is very close, and could be back this weekend, It will be interesting to see who gets moved especially if either Fraser or holzer play well

Change in captaincy coming soon?

Captain Kostka.

Damn, that has a good ring to it too.

I think there is another reason for Holzer and Frasor, they are trying to see who stays when Gardiner is ready next week to return.
- LeafMan

Ya I think that's why... doubt they'll send Holzer down though

Someone in my fantasy league used their waiver priority on him this morning. He must be the real deal.
