Active is the one with the $400 electronic glasses whereas passive uses the realD glasses you find in theaters. Passive is the better way to go. Little more expensive though and limited TVs due to patents.

Anyone here old enough to remember when CITY-TV ran 3D movies? I think it was on Sunday nights.

You had to go get glasses from Mac's Milk.

Best 3-D movie ever? The one with the Three Stooges. The entire film is just them throwing stuff out at you in 3D

Creature from the Black Lagoon is also excellent.

Just watched Django last night at home, but someone had edited the screener messages so you got slightly blurry spot on the screen every 10-15 min.

My sister in law has a funny story about SCTV (she worked with one of the producers).

They apparently never bothered with getting the proper legal permissions for using music - they would send a kid down to Sam the Record Man, buy the album, and just use it.

So a few years ago, when they came out with the Best of DVDs, there were quite a few clips they couldn't use, because they didn't have the legal rights to the music.

Remember the Tower episode where John Candy played Divine playing Peter Pan? Yeah, that song that he sung is apparently never, ever granted permission. So you won't see it again.

needless to say 3d is not something i particularly care about.. i am lazy enough as it is .. dont need to make it easier

To be honest, I can't really identify a D-man on the Leafs that is better...well Gunnarsson would be it I guess. Gardiner obviously has tons of potential, but still lots to prove this year.

My wife "accidentally" bought a bootleg DVD of X-Men (can't remember which one) from Pacific Mall.

There were still a few scenes where they hadn't added in the CGI effects yet.

Which actually made the movie more interesting to me (not a fan of comic book movies. Or comic books, for that matter).
