its great, keep in mind i did have to upgrade my video card.. had a GT8800 in there before and well.. flat out burned it out.. it was also choppy when it worked.

Ao i went and spent 700$ a couple years back and got the GTX580, a card thats actually capable of 3D if I had a 3D tv. this thing is fast.. I can run high def at 1080p no problem. Basically, i can run the best any site has to offer.

Leaf games through leavstv are very good.. a step shy of pure high def.. but not that big a step. it runs at 1600kbps and its minimum requirement for a monitor is 1024 x 768 Super VGA

honestly, i wasnt sold until I upgraded the vid card, now, the difference is so slight i dont even notice it.

I bought a 3D tv a few months ago. Didn't want it, but even without the 3D it still was a fantastic deal. I still don't have the glasses, though.

But a couple of years ago, my daughter was a Timbit at a Leafs-Habs game. It was the first ever game CBC broadcast in 3D, so (apparently - this is what they told my daughter's league convenor) they filmed the Timbits so they could work out the kinks.

We were supposed to get a copy, but never did. But man oh man, if I ever did, I'd have to go buy 20 pairs of the 3D glasses!

OK, just looked it up: I'm pretty sure I have active (it's a Sony).

Should I be happy or sad?

I sincerely doubt I'm ever going to actually use it, so I'm not too worried. My kids (for whatever reason) don't like 3D in the theatres, and considering there's nothing on tv in 3D, I think I'm just going to save myself the hassle of dropping extra $ on glasses, only to see my kids leave them lying around for me to step on.

Anyone here know if the Leafs TV mobile app for iphone/ipad is going to allow you to watch streamed games this season? I believe after they launched it last season almost all Leafs TV and SN and a few TSN games were streamed and available through it.

Active is the one with the $400 electronic glasses whereas passive uses the realD glasses you find in theaters. Passive is the better way to go. Little more expensive though and limited TVs due to patents.
