3 to 30% seems like a rounding error.

Just my guess...

missing a zero? That's just one. Almost all of his numbers were wrong. 160 players taken in the first round over ten years? Maybe with 16 teams. He basically said you have a higher chance of getting a player that will play 500 games with picks after the first round. and then argued when I pointed these things out.

I don't care what you're trying to prove. I was just letting you know your numbers were way off. They made no sense.

Let it go. Hes not right in head. Hopefully just into the sauce too much and will read this tomorrow and feel like a recycled DB.

Who starts tomorrow night? As in who would you put in, not what you think Carlyle will do.

Scrivens or JR?

It is all there in its glory.. now you want us to go back... and again do the work for you lazy boy... did you or did you not say that Lupul should be traded for a first rounder...???

Because if you make me go look you know I will find it...

Proct I see where you are getting your numbers.. but I was getting it from the whole draft.. 2600 players.. that was my comparison.. and not 200 games.. 500+ games.. and my challenge to the Tool was to name me which of those were top liners because that was his initial argument trade Lupul for a 1st rounder.. I was showing the effectiveness of the draft.. although the numbers were dated.. still not many first liners.. in the draft.. as there is 30 teams x 3 players currently.. how many of those were first rounders... was what I was saying.. we were arguing apples to oranges..

The tools argument still stands... it is better to trade a top line guy for a first rounder.. I say no...

- DoctorNHL

I told you that your mistake was using the numbers for the whole draft. But this is what you said.

The total means that only 3% of first rounders play 500 games.. over a decade...

If you're saying x% of first rounders then you have to use the numbers, of first rounders.

I'd give it to Reimer for home opener. Show confidence. He has to play eventually, sooner the better.

EDIT: in fact I'd give him 2 in a row (wed vs PEns), then Scrivens back in on Thurs.

After that, go with who's looked best in their first 2 games.

Prock that is definitely a valid point.. and I did say total.. but then again I was cherry picking stats.. as our friend Tool did.. I must have missed your line or else I would've elaborated... yes I was basing it on the full draft and it effectiveness.. I was asking the Tool to get me the first line numbers to prove his argument.

Sorry I was off and on all day for stretches.. the argument was based on trading a first liner for a first rounder.. but it was his argument not mine.. I talked about the effectiveness over a decade... sorry for the confusion.

Im thinking the same thing, but it almost seems unfair to Scrivens to not let him keep rolling and being rewarded for saturdays game.

It will be real interesting to see who they pick to play the Pens and their potent offense later in the week.

And I'm gusssing that is Scrivens.

Edited above...

I think give Reimer the next 2 - get him going. Win or lose Mon give him the Pens. Then, unless Reimer has pitched to SO's, you give Scrivens Thurs (back 2 back).

Then go with hot hand from there.

Im not sure thats fair, or maybe since Reimer is the vet it is?

Reimer gets Sabres and Pens, Scrivens gets the Islanders and Habs...not evenly matched.

Don't worry I can be repetitive too I have worked with challenged adults.. teaching them.. so have had to adapt every time I see you I will ask for the stats.. to this argument.. it proved very beneficial in the classroom...
